Extremely disappointing

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This lock unlike the Schlage requires a second component a Nest Connect that allows it to connect to WiFi. Although the lock design is gorgeous and much nicer than other products on the market we have not been able to connect it to the app. We were able to program the master code but now we literally have only one code and can’t get the connect unit and the lock to align with WiFi. We’ve had a Schlage wireless lock for 5 years and have never had an issue - installation was a breeze. Disappointed in this Yale, it’s beautifully designed, and could be great but without the functionality of the app it’s just another lock.

However extremely disappointed at how difficult/impossible integration is with ADT. Additionally, the BB GS installers were clueless, unprofessional, and made me feel like they were doing me a favor installing these in my home. I had 2 installed at the same time.

Make sure you properly install this device in your door. There is a latch that slides towards the locking side and if not properly install the door will lock but on your Nest app it will say “Can’t Lock” the door. I have this problem and wanted to pass it forward.
