Great SOHO switch!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Netgear switch was a great addition to my small home network. It afforded me the opportunity to add more hardwire connections than I previously had with my ISP leased router. Being that I previously worked as a network infrastructure installer, I was able to save money and do the installation myself. Currently I am using about half of the available ports of the switch with no issues at all. I would purchase this switch again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable, low maintenance switch.

Great switch at a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Netgear ProSafe JGS524 24 port Gigabit Ethernet switch because we moved into a remodeled house and I installed Ethernet in every room of the house. It has preformed flawlessly for me and the lifetime warranty on this switch gives me peace of mind should I ever need it.

Just what I needed for my home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced 2 each 8 port hubs with this 24 port switch & only then found out that some of my computers were capable of gigabit speeds. It works great.

24 port Netgear Switch to the rescue.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I continued to experience "drop out"problems with security cameras, Vonage connection and other devices while using cascaded 4 & 8 port switches. I took them offline and replaced 4 of them with the 24 port Netgear and and all of the problems went away. I love it.

Excellent Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used my fair share of switches over the year. From enterprise class to basic dumb hub/consumer switches. This is a high end unmanaged switch and is perfect for my needs. I have approximately 30 devices on my network, about half of them are wired with a mix of gigabit and normal fast Ethernet. I see no performance problems with using this switch. My network has a bunch of streaming video services as well as PlayStation 4 console, plus most importantly I have a special datafeed for day trading futures. This switch can handle all of this without bogging down. Quite pleased.

Good Gigabit Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently had our house wired with 2 cat6 drops in each room (one for computer, one for video use) and had all cables run to a central closet. I mounted this switch on the closet wall using angle brackets and connected all of the cat6 cables to it. There were a few unused ports that I used to connect some network drives to. I currently have 4 computer systems, 4 video systems, and 6 network drives connected to the switch and all systems are running with no problems or interference. The switch operates flawlessly and is unmanaged (i.e. doesn't require any confusing setup - just plug it in and it works). I manage all of my computers/network devices from one location and regularly have multiple screen sharing sessions going simultaneously and have never experienced any slowdown or hiccups on any connection. It's a very good switch for my situation.

Fanless 24Gb Dumb Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this same switch in the past and had to junk it because the fans went in it and after replacing the fans the board went. So I decided to pick this one up due to the fact that it was fan-less. Mounted, runs out of the box, simple setup and full gigabit connections on each port. granted I only run 12 ports but they all seem to run gigabit connections. Would recommend for anyone looking at pass through routing.

Great switch with auto sensing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use about 20 networked devices ranging from Sonos music zones to full gigabit Macs. I like the auto sensing feature for products that don't go over 10mb all the way to my NAS devices at full duplex 1gb. It mounted against my wall with ease and is situated so I can easily plug in cable from the top with force if needed. Great 24 port switch for the price and performance.

It doesn't get any easier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to replace another brand that went bad and I'm so glad I did. This Netgear switch has greater capacity and ended up speeding up our network. It came with a lifetime warranty. It is a no-brainer. If your network is slower than a direct connection to your modem, you might want to go ahead and change your switch out.

Good basic Gigabit Ethernet switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a simple switch for a customer office. No need for VLANs or any other smart switch capabilities but I needed a sufficient number of ports. A lot of other basic products seemed to top out at 16 ports but with 24 ports on this one, it had what I needed. Plugged it in and it worked. No problems.

Excellent 24 port switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second Netgear 24 port switch I have purchased. I had terrific results with the first one until after many years, the fan became quite noisy. I was pleased with the performance and features so I purchased an identical unit as a replacement.

Fast and Stable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as our network switched crashed during business hours and we needed it quick. Everyone on the network noticed a performance / speed increase as soon as I hooked it up. Our old switch used to crash and need to be restarted at times and this one is rock solid and stable.
