I bought the Netgear ProSafe JGS524 24 port Gigabit Ethernet switch because we moved into a remodeled house and I installed Ethernet in every room of the house. It has preformed flawlessly for me and the lifetime warranty on this switch gives me peace of mind should I ever need it.

This Netgear switch was a great addition to my small home network. It afforded me the opportunity to add more hardwire connections than I previously had with my ISP leased router. Being that I previously worked as a network infrastructure installer, I was able to save money and do the installation myself.
Currently I am using about half of the available ports of the switch with no issues at all.
I would purchase this switch again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable, low maintenance switch.

I needed a simple switch for a customer office. No need for VLANs or any other smart switch capabilities but I needed a sufficient number of ports. A lot of other basic products seemed to top out at 16 ports but with 24 ports on this one, it had what I needed. Plugged it in and it worked. No problems.

Light duty switch

This is a light duty switch that will not handle office grade (or heavy home office) loads over 150 Mbps sustained. Unlike intelligent switches from Cisco, Juniper or Ubiquiti there is no management. Ports are not isolated, nor is there a VLAN feature.
With 12 devices at standard load, the switch could not keep up and devices disconnected.
After a week, I pulled this and replaced it with an enterprise grade switch.

This is the second Netgear 24 port switch I have purchased. I had terrific results with the first one until after many years, the fan became quite noisy. I was pleased with the performance and features so I purchased an identical unit as a replacement.

No problems installing. Netgear makes it almost automatic. Very happy with the speed and i have used similar models in the past (installing them at various cuatomers) and I almost never have a problem with these.

This Netgear Switch is a great price for what it offers. 24 Ports of 10/100/1000 This is a GB Connection on most modern computers. Un Managed, just plug it in and connect it to your router or another switch and thats all! Simple & easy.
