Bought this to replace the same model we bought maybe 5-6yrs ago. It's in a very dusty area so I expected it last maybe a year or two, I just can't blow out the dust every day. So we got out money's worth from it and didn't hesitate to get another. Plus having one available locally was a big plus. I'll probably be buying another to keep as back up for when this one eventually dies because we don't baby it, lol.

I upgraded to this unit after I outgrew the 8-port gigabit switch I had. This unit runs great, and has lots of room for me to grow. I would recommend this to anyone that needs more than 8 ports for their home/office and need them to be GigaBit. One thing to keep in mind though, because it is gigabit and does have 24 ports on it, it does have a pretty powerful CPU. As a result it does have a fan, but this device belongs in a server room or telco closet anyways, not on your desk. Its not really loud, but its got a high pitch fan, where as a PC has a larger lower pitched fan. Just something to consider.

Low speed switch. Ok for business if only doing data communication. Not for video streaming.

The service was odd relative to the Covid 19 directives

I trust Netgear. Their older 16 port switch was not sufficient enough. Now we are back on line without interruptions.

We needed to expand things in an office for some security cameras and this did the trick.

Glad i purchase it, 20 computers are now connected to the internet.

When I went to plug in my network devices it was noticed that 4 ports were dead on the switch.

This switch was sold to me as a managed device capable of vlans etc.

Great for a small business, easy and simple to work with.

I've used these products before and for the small office that need Gigabit speed it does the trick. They are user friendly and easy to install.

This switch works fine, but really shouldn't be used in a home office unless you can isolate it in a ventilated/cooled closet somewhere. It's really, really noisy. I need a 24 port gigabit switch though but I'm not sure if they all require this type of fan to properly cool. A poor choice on my part.

This is a great product that does exactly what you would expect it to.

As a network engineer, I am very familiar with what must occur in a network and what is expected of a switch. What is not expected is a switch that does not even operate. Our business is 2 hours from Best Buy. Drove there, purchased the switch (incidentally, the 3rd netgear product out of 3 that has not worked when we got it back to our office), got it back to our office, installed it in our rack, and something is wrong with it internally. We could access our gateway, however it took 10 minutes to load up the gateways configuration page. Pulled the switch out of the equation just to make sure the problem was with the switch, and everything ran perfect. I highly recommend people to avoid all NetGear products. 3 out of 3 is a bad reputation for products that don't work right out of the box. Incidently, I called NetGear just to give them a chance to correct things. NetGear said "The switch must be bad, you should take it back to Best Buy" - their resolution is to waste another 2 hour drive to return a product that I already spent a 2 hour drive to get. They didn't seem to care when I communicated this to them. DO NOT BUY NETGEAR PRODUCTS. Send them a message that their customer service and cheaply made products are not acceptable by the consumers
