I used this in conjunction with my NetGear Powerline 1200 as my modem is in the family room downstairs and needed to get it to my set up upstairs. Once connected and powered on everything linked up quickly. Definitely worth it.

Had very few of the random lockups of previous generations. occasionally it has issues but I believe that is due to rapid power fluctuations during thunderstorms. Does exactly what it is supposed too.

5 Port Switches-good for extending wired ethenet

One house needed 100 ft Ethernet cables to extend the network range reliably. Both places needed local switches just to provide enough ports for our devices. Our Netgear switches have always worked well.
