Easy to install, straightforward instructions. Stylish but wish it was more flush to wall plug. Wifi network extension functions well , extended my wifi out to my balcony where signal was previously nonexistent.

Our home is hard wired for internet. Kept having problems with the original equipment. Technical consultant recommended the NETGEAR - 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch. It works great.

Small, powerful, cheap, I bought it to build an Ethernet network for all my Ethernet capable devices since WiFi is a mess and Ethernet over power it’s gives me 1/2 of my internet speed, so decided to make a ethernet network and used two of this product and it works like wonders. :). I have a 75mbps internet connection and it delivers every bit.

IT is what it says it is, a 5 port gigabit switch .. packaging was simple instructions easy to read and understand. setup in under a minute. simply un-box, plug in and connect devices. This is just an un-managed switch simply provides connectivity. IT will not provide ip addresses or provide security like firewall or application filtering it is just a dumb unmanned switch used to connect devices to one another.

We needed a few additional ports so we picked this up. It works seemlessly and is an easy setup. Ran a few before and after speedtests and they were spot on. Good price as well so an overall solid buy if you need one.

Quickly ran out of ethernet ports when expanding my wired network. This Netgear switch was the answer. Reasonably priced and works as expected. Simple to use, compact, runs cool.

I didn’t realize how compact this splitter was until I picked it up. It’s only about the size of a phone and twice as thick. Works well, I haven’t had any issues with it. Plug and play. Made it more convenient and cheaper than running multiple lines all the way to my router. I have had many Netgear networking devices and routers over the years and they last a long time with no problems. I always recommend them to family members or friends if they ask what brand router to buy.

This is small unmanaged 5-port gigabit switch, and provides enough expansion to add those devices that seem to show up when least expected. For the price, you can keep one handy for emergencies!

We like our Netgear. We needed it to connect so many different wires to it because they all didn't fit on our router.

These are great little devices for running multiple lines to connected equipment in home theater racks or cabinets. Installed on in my brother's media cabinet from his router and then hardwired the receiver, roku, and blu-ray player. Have an 8 port version in my media cabinet and still running strong 2 years later. They just work and put them on auto-pilot.

I have no idea what I would without this switch. It literally saved me from having to run several Ethernet cables to my office (because the way the house it setup the modem had to be put in the living room). I ran one Ethernet cable from the modem to the router (which is right next to the modem) and then from the router to the switch (in the office) I then plugged in my desktop and printer into the switch and them ran a couple hard lines to the work table at the other side of the room to be used when plugging in other devices, and I ran the last one to my room (next to the office, but further away from the living room) where I plugged in my Xbox.
This thing does not slow down my internet at all. I see the same speed (give or take a few Mbps) from every port as I do from the WiFi. This means that whether I am hard-lined into the internet or using the WiFi I am getting consistent speeds. This thing is a beast, it hasn't gotten hot or overloaded, and it handled very well every single thing on it being used at the same time without seeing a hang up in response times. (* A lot of this has to do with the router and modem I am using as well, but for the switch that cost $45 to keep up with the router and modem and function at the same level consistently is amazing to me.)
I would highly recommend to anyone in need of running more than a couple of Ethernet cables to consider getting one (or more) of these and placing them closer to where the bulk of your Ethernet cables will be needed so you do not have to run several long cables. I would also recommend this to people who will potentially need more Ethernet ports than what the router gives you.

No Cons... brother said it looked plain, so we added two blue tape racing stripes down the middle.
Pros.. easy setup that took nowhere near a minute and it’s been working flawlessly.
Only needed it to wire an Xbox One and PS4. The PS4 had been getting major lag issues with all the wireless devices at home, atleast 10 (consoles, phones, tv, thermostat, etc)
