I have had Netgear products in the past and have always been very happy with them. This one is no exception. Easy the set up and use. I did not want a wireless switch and this was great option for setting up my computers.

This switch work great. The router that was provided to me only had 4 connections and I needed 10. I really works great without losing any Internet speed.

I needed to add a second wired line in my wife's home office. She was having issues with her wireless connection. I had one wire for her work laptop and needed to add second for her personal laptop. This switch did the job. It was easy to add and there is no setup. Just plug the wires in and you are ready to go.

    No Brainer, Plug-N-Chug

Troubleshooting a complex home network setup like mine wasn't easy. When you combine, wired, wireless, and powerline networking into a single installation, it can sometimes get dicey when problems come up. Figuring out that it was my Linksys 8-port network switch that was bad took a bit. However, after determining that it was the point of failure and bringing the NETGEAR 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch into the mix, it was easy to get back up and running. The installation instructions were clear, and easy to follow. This was the easiest, no-brainer, plug-n-chug installation of a network component I've had...ever - plug the cables in, plug the switch into the AC outlet, and vy-oh-la! I'm back on the internets. Staying up and running has been easy and there haven't been any issues with maintaining the component after it was installed. I'd recommend this to anyone and anyone trying to extend their home network.

I bought this to plug into my Oppo Blu-ray player. I was worried that I'd need to mate it to the adapter first with a computer and then install it, but I didn't - it worked right off the bat and makes navigating YouTube and Roku channels much easier. And I can easily switch off the power when I'm not using it to save batteries. Perfect.

Needed a switch for my new Xfinity Modem, to hold the extra cables. You will probably need an extra Ethernet cable if you don't have an extra one or two lying around. Easy to hook up, works like it is suppose to, and service at store was terrific.

I installed this switch to replace a 10/100 router I was using as a switch. It feeds a double NIC input to the PC and my MacBook Pro. Together with FIOS, 25Gbps downloads and fast file transfers between computers.

This switch does just what I need it to do, no more, no less. From experience, I know these to be a good value but they don't last as long as the ProSafe series, which is only $10 more. Expected life = 2 yrs.

I love this switch. It is been running for a few years and is rock solid. It does not get turned off and does not require restarting constantly like others. I would totally recommend this as a good small switch for you network.

Works perfect, took a minute to get out of box and all plugged in. My speeds are seem slightly quicker then without this product(This was while in a match of Call of Duty Black Ops 2, on netflix with my PS3, and running my computer).

Plug and go, didn't require any setup or cause any headaches. Standard router, with 5 ports, 1 AC adapter and 6 LEDs (1 for power, 5 for each port). Been using it for a few months and it hasn't failed me.
