we have a fairly large house and needed a way to ensure effective internet coverage throughout. There are times when we want to be wired and times when not. This switch gives us the flexibility that we need.

this is for my apartment and use it to hardwire my TV's and blu ray players for streaming. It's been running for a while now and no issues.

It works on demand and i have seen no issues what so ever. It is a must if you need to expand your network!

3rd purchase of this item, others are still working well, just needed to add another switch! Love the new design. Very dependable.

I did not have enough ports, and having success with NETGEAR in the past, I thought I would try it again... it was EASY BREEZY!!!

my condo is completely wired in every room for internet, so i got this to share it. It works fine.

we have used a number of these switches to add more PC's to our network. Works great

worked great on a business trip, i would never get anything else other than this

My earlier one has given up on me after serving for 5. Setup was very easy. Doesn’t have features with a lower price available on Amazon. Had to buy because of urgency. Not worth the price

Good quality little desktop switch for use in an office.

I can see how this would be a great product but it did not work in our application.

I looks nice enough to keep out on desk top. It works fine. Throughput is good.

this is a decent switch for the price, however I've had to buy several over the years... The first one lasted over three years, the 2nd was dead after only 6 months, and the latest has been going ok for almost a year... go figure...

Was in a pinch and needed a gigabit 5 port switch. This was the only option in the store. Best Buy used to carry a lot more options. Their selection has turned for the worse. Pricey for a plastic switch, but it works fine.

Had to return this product as it wouldn’t work with my internet provider

I purchased this switch as an "add on" to a Netgear wireless router I had purchased a few months earlier. Turns out the switch is incompatible with the router. Who knew? You couldn't find out from Netgear's customer service because they listed no phone contact for Technical Support. Only e-mail. I sent in the question. Took them two days to answer. Worthless. I returned the switch, threw the router in the trash and went out and bought Linksys. All working great now.
