I relocated the Router/Modem in the house to better benefit from its WiFi capabilities, but still wanted the use of a hardwired network in every room. Plugged the switch into my Router and expanded with an additional four outlets. There's no software or set up to complete. Just plug it in. Everything works fine. I now have all seven rooms wired through my router and switch as well as wireless for the phones and tablets. Wired is faster for online movies and games.

My cable modem had only one Ethernet line available, but I needed at least two to wire two separate computers to the internet. The set up was easy, and I ran speed tests afterwards. My connection speed was not affected even the slightest. This was exactly what I needed to connect my home office to my work servers, so that I could work efficiently while working virtually.

Got it on sale and happy with it to provide wired connection to multiple devices an another room then my router.

Bought specifically for a wired connection for my PS4. Now I can playing input-sensitive games online with no lag issues. I get 30 Mbps upload speed, which is fantastic compared to what I had previously with a wireless connection.

I leave this plugged in all the time and it hasn't broke. It doesn't get hot and stay cool to the touch. The metal casing makes it very sturdy. Speeds are as advertised. Great overall and economical network switch.

Needed to add additional ethernet connections to my setup. Has fast connections and was easy to setup. Got a great price and had some reward credits to use.

Needed to connect additional devices to the ethernet cable that runs from our router on one end of the house to the living room. Tried hooking up a second wireless router to use its ports, but it seems that wasn't acceptable to certain work-related remote log-in software that one of us uses. So I got this switch and substituted it for the second router, and it works like a charm. Looks good too!

I purchased several of these routers to multiply the number of devices that can connect to a single wall ethernet jack. The switch functions great connecting to the router quickly with the green lights blinking to show activity. The data throughput has been fast with no issues in streaming videos and downloading large files. Overall it's an excellent product!!

Put this in my entertainment center, works great for splitting signal between my DVR, DVD, Entertainment PC and TV!

This Netgear Switch is a great way to expand your network - especially if you are wanting to add extra computers, backup drives, cloud drives or whatever other equipment you need and all of the ports on your router are full. This will give you 4 extra ports to use at gigabit speeds. I highly recommend it.

Small and easy to put out of the way, simple to use.

I needed this to provide a wired connection to multiple devices that I want to run at faster speeds than wireless provides. This switch works well and provides those extra connections I need with only one physical port available at the location.

I bought two of these to handle multiple connections in both our office and entertainment area. Allows all of our connected devices to use wired vs wireless. Simple plug and play.

Purchased for the single jack behind my TV. Able to split off to xbox and Roku device. Much faster connection than using wifi.
