    This Netgear 8 port switch is great for Home Office use, Needed to have dedicated wired network connection for reliable VPN connection to the office, and this fit the bill. When not working for the office, it's handling all the normal home network essentials for TV's, set top boxes, external NAS storage, and an Xbox. The 8 ports are sufficient, and the form factor is small enough to keep tucked away but close at hand. The limited lifetime warranty is a nice piece of mind too, just register your hardware.

    The Netgeat GS series of gigabit switches are great. High performance and reliability. A management interface would be a great addition, but at this price it really is too much to ask for.
