Ready for the future
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Want the product to wire my Sonos Arc, AppleTV 4k, Sony A8H. It was on sale for the same price as a 4 port, so why not? I live in the county and have DSL. 2023 supposed to start laying fiber for internet, yeah. I am ready.

The internet switcher to get.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These switchers just work flawlessly. I had a few other brands that failed after a few years. Now my home is all in on this switcher, no failures, a very stable and reliable product. A tiny bit more expensive, but worth the investment on reliability.

Great E-Switch
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the switch to replace an old router that wasn’t needed in the network for internet connectivity. Wasn’t sure how it would work. Can’t be more satisfied. It actually speeds up wired connections.

"Plug & Play"
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this NETGEAR 8-Port Switch to use behind my NETGEAR Dual WAN Firewall. It was VERY easy to set up: quite literally the definition of a "Plug & Play" device. It has worked wonderfully since then: reliably giving me Gigabit throughput.

Good Switch
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This NETGEAR - 8-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch is good for it's size I have gotten a larger on but still use this one as a off shoot.

Slim and Solid
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works well for everything I need to plug in my new router. Plus, I still have a bunch of open slots for future connections. The price was very reasonable. It's slim and fits right into the enclosed area I have for my modem and router, etc. This device is solid and well built.

Simple and effective
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a switch. "Unmanaged," so you don't have to go in and configure anything. Simply plug it in, plug in the cables and go to town. Honestly, if you can use a power strip, you can use this to provide more ethernet ports in an area (say, for a TV, DVD player, consoles, whatever else the kids are using these days.)

Does not feel cheap at all. It works perfectly. Easy to use and install. Our router did not have enough jacks and this fixed it.

Perfect for in-home networks
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Netgear products. I can always rely on them to get the job done right without any deep technical skills needed on my part (although I know more than the average person would when it comes to networking). Easy plug and play and you know your home it set for life.

Great 8-Port Gigabit Switch from Netgear
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This particular 8-port Gigabit Switch was purchased for a small business customer who's 4-port Wireless Router's 4 ports weren't enough anymore. I knew this one would be a great solution because I have one myself in my home-business network. Installation, setup and configuration was easy. There's so much to love about Netgear products. I love the high quality! I've been personally using and recommending Netgear products for 20 years or more. The only downside is that there are only 8 ports, and one of them has to be Router/Internet (or another Switch's) Input and, therefore, you only get 7 ports of expansion. So take this into account when considering it for your network to be sure you have enough ports.

Great to expand your wired connection
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to connect a few devices to my router with Ethernet. This switch has enough ports for my needs. If your router only has one Ethernet port and you need more, this is an excellent choice. This Netgear works great no complaints.
