Price to feature set is amazing. You get a nice set of layer 3 features but you don't need a degree in IT Networking to figure it out. I've been a corporate IT consultant for 12 years now and I hold certs with HP networking and Cisco and I can say that bang for the buck, this Netgear switch series has all the features your standard office setup would need. You can Vlan, traffic prioritize and get some good analysis from the device.
We've had this series installed for years now at some high use facilities and they are going strong, and compared to a Cisco of similar specs, well priced.
This is perfect for someone that needs that extra management ability because of VoIP or other networking needs but doesn't need or want to get into full layer 3 switching. The web interface is easily learned and accessible. You can lock it down as well. Netgear has been really good about product support as well and they fix issues fast with firmware updates as needed. I've yet to have one of these fail (knock on wood) and we have these installed in most of our clients' locations.

Great Ethernet Switch, No Compromise!

Great ethernet switch, even for gaming! Ran multiple speed tests with download/upload speeds averaging 415Mbps/40Mbps respectively on a 400Mbps connection through my ISP, so no compromise whatsoever when it comes to speed.
As far as connectivity, all connected devices are steady as per the solid green light showing on the indicators or otherwise blinking when transferring data (which by the way I find useful).
What I also like (besides it’s plug and play functionality) is its fanless, metal frame design making for a quiet experience without overheating and a sturdy, reliable product.
With no compromise to speed or connectivity, it’s fanless, metal frame design and ease of use, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an unmanaged Ethernet switch.

Rock-solid performance from a cheap, reliable swit

These Netgear switches are simply the best. Sturdy case, rock-solid performance, fast. This model is best for installations with cabling at the front so you can see the indicator light. The lights clearly show the speed (10, 100, 1000) on each port. I recently got new routers and updated ethernet cabling, so I replaced an older Netgear 10,100 hub to get the gigabit speeds. The old hub was the same case and had been working flawlessly for many years. Since upgrading my speed with Xfinity to 300Mbps max, I needed the faster ethernet to my desktop computer for work from home. I'm consistently getting speed tests on my desktop of 250Mbps and higher. No setup with this switch, since it is unmanaged. Just plug it in and it works forever!

Solid equipment. Plug and play. No issues. Well made. A simple gadget, but it works as stated. Used with generic ethernet so not sure how it would work for any specialized equimpment.

Netgear makes good quality tech gear and this is no exception. Equipment connected thru my WiFi router to the modem seems faster when connected to this switch to modem. It was very reasonably priced, seems to work well whether surfing the web, or transferring items from computer to computer or printer. Easy plug and play. The engineering seems wrong. The power and data connections should be on the back and the leds should be on the front. I set my switch up sideways with data and power wires curved to the rear. It would be better presentable with wires on the back and leds on the front.
