Netgear - Solid product

I've used Netgear products in the past so went with their switch. It is doing exactly what it is intended to do...adds ethernet ports.

Solid piece of tech.

If I had been looking for routers I may have looked longer but this switch has been around and I have never had a malfunction. The one before this was also a Netgear and it has been doing unmanaged duty for 8 active ports for several years. It was not a gigabit but this is the first of multiple I will be getting to upgrade my lines across the house, especially after getting Gigablast. I will soon be looking for a switch that will allow POE switching capabilities to handle cameras and will no doubt look at NG first.
