This is the best way to share internet speed. Plug it into a router and let the switch do the work instead of splitting the bandwidth. Make sure you purchase one large enough for your needs.

I needed more ports connections for my home office. This 8 port ethernet switch did the trick. The connections are fast and no freezing I'm using 5 of the ports and its smooth sailing.

the one I got has never crapped out on me and does a pretty excellent job of splitting the bandwidth for all of the systems that are hooked up. not to mention, its not very expensive either

I purchased the NETGEAR - 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch to connect all the various network media feeds into our receiver, Smartv, and specialized media boxes such as Apple TV, Directv etc. Ran a Cat 6 cable back to the router and am able to get nearly the full 100mb download speed to theater as I do directly connected to the router when I run speed tests. Good switch for media feeds and very easy to setup.

I’m impressed. I’ve been able expand my internet connection to another room and connect more devices to Ethernet without slowing things down. I connected this to my router with a long Ethernet cable and ran that into another room. It does what it claims and maintains my rapid speed.

I have been using Netgear switches for over 15 years and have had very few issues with them. For small businesses this is a great piece of reliable hardware. I like the new Gigabit switches, has decent throughput with multiple PC moving data at once. Doesn't bottleneck as easily as more inexpensive switches.

I now have much faster speeds on my tv, Apple TV, roku, and PlayStation 4 which were previously hooked up on wireless. Switch works great and was pretty much plug and play.

I use Netgear products in a lot of the systems I design. They seem solid, well built, and function exactly as advertised. This one has more ports than others at this price range.

I bought 3 of these for my home. They work perfect and are very easy to set up. My old switches were a different brand and they would not connect at max speed. I have all green lights, no orange. The connections are running the way they should. I have expanded my home network to 2 floors with the switches.
