I bought this switch to use in my entertainment system in the living room. All I had to do was connect the network cables and everything worked.

Great product. Have one, needed another. Only way to go if you're splitting CAT 5 or 6. Reliable with a small foot print. Wall-mountable if need be. Recommend.

No complaints, it's been running for months since i got it without issue. It works and that's all you can ask for from something as simple as an unmanaged switch.

Needed a switch to hook up a network printer and this worked perfectly. Just took it out of box and plugged it in and all of the network cables. worked like a charm

I'm not sure how you could screw up an Ethernet switch but you don't have to worry about it with this one. I've always favored Netgear products and that's why I chose this switch. My wireless router only has 4 Ethernet ports and I needed a minimum of 6 for the various rooms in my home. I had this unpackaged, hooked up and powered on in about 5 minutes with zero issues and 6 ports humming along.

I have an old house and one router with one wireless extended however gigabit Ethernet is SOO much faster! So I'm my home office I got this "switch" and now I can hookup my desktop, my VoIP phone plus both printers I have and more and I'm not slowing down the wireless strength of the internet in my house!! It's so easy, just plug it in and it makes your life much easier!

The Netgear eight port ethernet switch works perfectly so far was able to split all my cables now. This way I was able to bring the router from Comcast up on the second floor so the wireless works perfectly now while the switches down in the basement

Using this switch to connect as many rooms as possible to hard wired Internet. Connected Apple TV and some wifi extenders too. Did what it's supposed to

I purchased this switch for college and so far it has weighed very well! It is very fast and connects 8 devices so I have yet to fill ask connection points.

This is the second Netgear network switch that I've purchased: no settings, just plug in your Ethernet cables, and Voila! You're set!

I purchased this because it was Netgear and 8 ports. With the network at home growing I was tired of the 5 port version and this one works perfectly

Plugged this Ethernet switch into Moca adapter downstairs and allowed me to connect my gaming systems to my network using Ethernet instead of WiFi. Greatly improved my network gaming experience. Was exactly what I needed and way better pricing than anywhere else I looked.

Ok, so my router has only 3 ports and wanted to add more rooms so i found this one on bestbuy site with good review. I thought let me try it out and it turns out to be the exact match what i am looking for. Nice product, very very reasonable price and awesome production. Everything just worked out fine. Highly recommend for home purpose.

Effective and easy to use. Does it's job, low maintenance and gets out of the way. Haven't had any issues with a network that is full of devices.

I have used these switches before very successfully so I went with the proven product again. Earlier in time I had picked two up on sale but this time I needed them asap so paid average price for them (they weren't replacing the others but rather I was expanding the number of computers being used online. Little to say except it just works - with iMacs and PC's it was plug and play - no slow down, no issues with any of the connected computers and printers. It did what it is expected to do - allow everything to be connected easily and quickly and then stay connected. So far I continue to be very pleased and have no complaints!

The switch has all of the features that you look for in a gigabit port switch. Lots of ports with gigabit speed for very little cost. Great value!

We have a lot of wireless electronics with "hubs" that require Ethernet connections. This device fit the bill. Plenty of plugs for all our toys!
