This is working like a switch should. No issues so far. I like having 8 ports instead of 5 though ;)

Replaced an old netgear switch. There is not much to these things, they work or they don't. This one works. Good quality. Price point was just a bit high, but within range of comparable products.

Worked perfectly fine until this morning. I get to the office and it is dead. The power light is on but it is not working. We use it as a splitter essentially for our VOIP phones. It wasn't any sort of power surge or the like. The modem, firewall, router, VIOP phone base and cordless phone base are all plugged in to the same place and are working fine. I think one star would imply that it didnt work at all so two stars because it worked for a while. Good luck!

I have all ports being used ...no issues. Seems a little warm but i turn it off when I'm not using it.

It works just like it is supposed to. The cost is reasonable and it was readily available.

I used this switch to expand the ethernet network in my house. I prefer to not use wifi and having a hard wired network was the way to go. The hardwire network is faster and more reliable for my IPTV service and all of my computing needs.

This switch was easy to install and no loss of speed in the connection.

Works great with no complaints. The amount of ports meets our needs.

Love this router, just take it out of the box and plug it in. No need for instructions. Even my boss can connect it!

As expected from netgear, the switch does its job. need a gigabit ethernet switch? netgear works great.

GIgabit routers are the way to go if you want to stream media. I've had zero problems with this one.

Handles plenty of bandwidth. Having Gbit buffers is awesome. All devices perform at max internet speeds even at the same time. 6 different speed test sites synch test across all 6 devices. All showed speeds of 120+ MB a second on a 200MB cable line.

I'm able to hook up all my devices in my computer closet fit in great with all network needs

Working good so far... :) Needed it for in-home use and hoping it solves problems experienced in the past.

I have purchased and used the Netgear 8 Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch for my own office and client offices. I have found them to be extremely dependable and last a long time. My only concern is the more recent Netgear switches are a bit small making the ports rather crowded.

Good product. It is very helpful if your router doesn't have enough port.
