I have 5 devices wired to my network. The switch stays cool and does not over heat under heavy use. I definately recommend great value.

I love this switch. It is compact, yet offers 8 ports. Setup is easy, and it is attractive and unobtrusive.

Plug n Play and easy use. simple to install. very small

This is actually my second NETGEAR-8- Port Unmanaged switch. Both are use for home network entertainment devices like DirecTV, smart TV's, Roku devices, a PC, a PS-3, Oppo Blu-ray players, not to mention music streaming from Tidal via Roon. The good news is both NETGEAR switches function exactly as intended and they call no attention to themselves. These switches are a solid trouble free component and enhance my home network.

Picked this up to put into my entertainment area and running a CAT5 into it from an Actiontec MOCA adapter. Have a Smart TV, AVR, and UHD Blu Ray all taking a wired or wireless connection. Did the MOCA / Switch thing instead of wireless or adding a 2nd Asus wireless routher in an AIMesh setup. Ran a speed test on my laptop wired coming out of the Netgear and was pulling just over 200 Mbs which is what I'm paying for with Charter. Greatly provides flexibility at minimal cost.

I have too many smart devices in my home beyond what my normal router would allow for - so I had to buy this device to control my extra smart devices. I would try to purchase devices going forward that do not have hubs but that would work directly with the Amazon Echo plus directly (it can control up to 50 devices directly). However, I can't complain about this product - it has provided consistent internet supply to my smart hubs/devices without any issues - well worth the money!

I purchased two of these switches from my local store. So happy to find these locally. I needed them to setup additional machines in our school's media center. They worked perfect! This is the only model I have seen with an off/on switch.
