worked perfectly for what we needed

No configuration to worry about. No issues at all. One thing to note -it only has 8 ports, there is no LAN port for the uplink. Older switches used to have a LAN port in addition to the number of ports listed on the product. This means you can only have seven devices hooked to this switch.

Solid 8 Port GB Switch

For that matter, it only needs holes for hanging vertically so the lights and jacks are on vertical sides. As is, it can hang in that orientation, but could easily slip off the mounting screws.
