Great switch! Great price, connection and ease of use.

The network switch this unit replaced must have had a bad port. As soon as this was installed, everything was working great!

With the popularity of internet based products that make life better in the home, I found it necessary to have more ports to connect to. The Netgear 8 port switch was the perfect solution. Setup was simple, basically just plug in the devices and your good to go.

Does exactly what it needs to do. Replaced and unmanaged 10/100 switch after internet was upgraded to fiber. Switch took over for the old 10/100 seamlessly and gave all devices Gigabit network and let their internet go to 200Mb. Decent price for 8 ports, too. 4 and 5 port switches are pretty easy to fill up.

This is the perfect switch if you are looking to just add more ports to your existing home network. I use this switch to connect my computers and home automation systems to free up ports on my home router. If you are looking for something to allow more complex configurations I would look into a different device.
