Unmanaged switch. Looks a little weird since it's white plastic, but it works just fine. You'll need something else for DHCP though.

I needed to split an Ethernet jack into several ports for connecting multiple wired peripherals, and this 8-port switch did the trick. Plug-n-play makes it easy to setup.

with the addition of an on/off switch this device works as it is intended. its all plug and play. The only reason it did not get 5 stars was it did not come with the plastic feet like my last 5 port did to offer the option to stand the unit up

Used in a small office setup for a few simple PCs and printers, does EXACTLY what you need it to, can be wall mounted. Good value.

Got TWC 300M internet and wanted a new Ethernet Switch so i could take advantage of the speed. The TWC modem was too far from several devices that is wanted to be wired. Had other Netgear products that worked so I bought the Netgear, No issues, hooked it up and plugged it in and it has been going ever since.

This is a great switch for a house can. If your looking to get your router into the living space but need a switch to connect all your hard lines this is perfect.
