Bought this switch to expand my existing router. The install was painless and I didnt have to do a thing to get it to work. Plug and play.

My last switch failed so I went to Best Buy where this switch was recommended by a sales person.

I was looking for a plug and play router for a business. This literally was plug and play. I did not need to dedicate any IP's or do anything fancy.

It’s a switch so it does it’s job. No real function or features to review. It does it’s job, giving me expansion to connect more devices.

This is a great product for home entertainment center, gives an extra 8 ports for ethernet hook up. So you can connect game systems, tvs and bluray players to one main source

I needed another ethernet port as the 4 on my existing router were used. I added the Netgear switch, and now have multiple extra ports. Works great!

Cool little network switch that is requires essentially not setup, and just works. While I haven't confirmed the actual port speeds delivered, it has worked well in connecting my cable modem to a separate WIFI router as well as several other peripheral devices. The connections seem stable and overall are performing as I expected.

I've used these switches fir many years and they just get better. Low cost and high performance for any of your networking needs. Great throughput.

I have three of these through the house and have never had an issue with any of them. True plug and play, set it and forget it

My old switch did not have the capability of 1000 mbps and felt I was not getting the speed that I should. Once connected I immediately saw an increase in network speed.

Nothing fancy, great price, no issues. Just be sure it is the right size for you. I have many devices in my apartment and this is already full :)

With more and more devices networked in the home I out grew my last switch's size and speed. This one fit the bill very nicely and has given me no trouble.

Made an impossible problem an easy fix. I'm not tech savvy but this was as simple as plugging in the power and hooking up cables.

Used this to solve a problem and it worked out great. Good speed across the back plane and MDI/MDIX worked like a charm every time.

I purchased this a little over a year ago as we 'wired' our home. It's working well and hasn't faltered since it was installed. This is a great product!

Quick easy set up. Recommend Netgear over all other options. The latest version is missing the attachable legs which allowed the switch to stand on edge.

If you need more Ethernet ports, this is highly recommended as it is easy to use, plug and play

I had the previous hardware version of this device. It was an 8port gigabit switch, but the thing to look out for is "Maximum Throughput" meaning if all 8 ports were downloading something, would all 8 people get gigabit speeds? The answer to that on this hardware is ... YES. I finally got gigabit internet and needed a fast switch since my local network was coming to a crawl between computer transfers and even internet transfers with previous generation gigabit switches. These are no frill, all the things you want and nothing you don't.
