    Slow Wi-Fi 100mbps. Misleading info.

    The package and product information is really misleading. It only allows the maximum 100mbps not the 300/700/1000 they mentioned. Don’t buy it if your internet service provide speed more than 100 mbps.

    Broke during set-up

    During the firmware upgrade process, while hardwired to Ethernet, the device froze. No option but to hard reboot, at which time it was clear that the box had bit the dust. Also, made cheaply, feels like a toy.

    Doesn't connect to Spectrum modem. After research the router's specs regarding sped are for wireless speed, not direct to modem speed and it appears this router isn't fast enough.

    The name of the router is AC1000 because it’s supposed to be able to add up to that many mb at full power but can only hold 100mb. Completely useless for anyone that has higher speed.

    It decreases the speed of internet

    My internet speed decrease once installed, I call my internet provider thinking it was an issue from them, one technician came and check everything then he told me the problem was the router I bought a new one different brand and it’s working great.

    I had my Comcast service guy on the phone with guy from India reprogramming the unit with my laptop until we finally got it to talk to the internet. Not at all easy to set up.

    Be sure to get product protection

    I had this router for 6 months and the port failed. Apparently the product protection I got was for the tv I bought at the same time. I have yet to hear from netgear for product replacement. But I’m responsible for shipping the defective product to them.

    Could not get this to work as an extender, despite saying that it could be. Customer support had zero advice or support. Creating a ticket and they still haven't followed up months later (I returned this after 5 days).

    The router does not give good speed as advertised on the box. I wouldn't recommend. Get something higher priced and better quality.

    Router did not work with Spectrum internet. Also, I purchased this router for my aunt whom lives in a rural area. The item was returned to the store.

    Solid Start - Then Nothing

    After the initial set-up, which worked, I was unable to get this unit to be discoverable. After many resets and reboots, it did not work.

    did not work, their customer service is horrible! returned it after being on the phone with them for 4 hours and still did not work

    Keep saying connected,but was in fact"NOT"Had to unplug router every day to reconnect to devices that were via wifi connected.Got Google mesh no problem.Get the mesh.Netgear AC1000 is garbage.......

    Stopped working. Does not support security cameras. I had an older cheaper model that I purchased from Hhgregg that worked better and for longer!

    You were very good at refunding and not arguing about it but it did not come and I waited over 5 days with almost no internet to have to go out and buy it so not a good transaction

    I have to turn my new router on and off at least on once a day to reconnect to the internet. Very frustrating.
