horrible. does not work as advertised
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought this because the guys at the store said it would work with the 200/200mbps FiOs plan, which is currently their slowest package. It is advertised as working for speeds of 300 to 700mbps, so not their gigabit plan, but it should work for the plan that I ordered. The tech came and installed my service, but he tested the speed on multiple devices and he said that it was testing at around 140mpbs. He said it should test over 200mbps since with the 200mbps plan because they actually give you 300. You wont get the full 300 over wifi, but it should be over 200. This is also in a studio apartment so it was very close to the router. He did his tests right next to the router. He did not try to convince me to rent the router through FiOs. He recommended a different router that a lot of customers purchase and he has tested many times and always tests well. That router is the TP-Link Archer AC1750 and it is $11 more than this router. I have ordered it from bestbuy.com since it wasn't available in my local store and I will return this one.
