Update broke router only had 8 months

Everything was fine until I did the update. I called helpdesk and they said my hardware crashed. They said under warranty but I would have to pay to ship it back. Whatever you do don’t ever do the update. I went online afterwards known issue that has been going on for over five years. It is a known issue with net gear and they have done nothing to correct. Netgear update ruined router and I have to pay to ship it back

Did not work for me

So, now I’m stuck with it. The internet did not work well with it. I’m not sure if this was the problem or the modem but not a good experience.
