This router is ok for small home with small bandwidth, it continually drops the signal, when set on 2g internet connection is slow, switch over to 5g better but won’t hold at 5g, hopefully it’s not too late to return

    Better than Belkin

Bought a Belkin router ~10 months ago that was bottlenecking my ethernet speeds. Decided to get a new router and picked this Netgear router up and fixed all my problems. Dual antennas provide good reception within my whole apartment and the ethernet ports are at the speeds they should have been all along.

Great little router. The 5ghz channel works a lot better than the 2.4, perfect for a tiny apartment but still has a bit of an issue punching through a few walls to give the best coverage. Exactly what I expected for the price and what it is.

A very good wireless router that provides multiple frequencies for improved bandwidth based on proximity to router. Router setup through cell phone application that is quirky but useable. Adjustable antennas for optimizing signal distribution.

We've had 5G installed in the neighborhood with MorrisBroadband. Had Netgear first, lots of trouble. Then Linkysys, more trouble. Had MorrisBroadband out to the out and they said, "Not our problem. It's your router." GeekSquad came to the house, had problems as well. Have the modem and router in the middle room and one computer in the adjoining room and another computer in the opposite direction. Finally had my computer hardwired to the router. We went back to Netgear. Occasionally still have problems. No wonder MorrisBroadband only gives you the modem and not the router. Be prepared to deal with high blood pressure.

I have not lost any speed to downloads and is very efficient for home use. I am glad I decided on buying this item with the help of a salesperson at our local store. No data speed was lost having 4 people in use at the same time. Sure beats renting from Xfinity at $10 a month for a 2 year contract.

We bought this router together with the Arris modem as recommended by the Best Buy employee. We have also seen this item reviewed online. These modem and router were to replace our Comcast Xfinity rental. When setting up with Xfinity, we could not be connected because this router was not activated. Of course, we read the instructions (both from internet and from the box) before going offline. The problem was the router needed activation. However, there was no instructions, EVEN IN THE BOX ITSELF. There was no customer service information, either. We somehow managed to get contact information after an hour. The product itself is good, and their outsourced-customer service was great, but just a paper containg set-up information plus contact information would have been helpful.

Set up a static IP on this for our security system at the office. Confident everything is safe and secure and the private WiFi network has great reception through our office's metal walls.

I like the Genie app it helps monetor your activities and helps you monitor how many connections and who is connected to your wireless network. It.was hard to get the main set up done on it. But that said very good wireless router.

Purchased this for my Mother who was experiencing terrible access speeds with the standard Comcast router. Everything runs much faster with this router and she is much happier. We connected their phones via Wifi to this router as well.

the instructions for the NetGear 1200 router say to wire the router to the modem. We have Rise Broadband as our provider and do not use a Modem. After a call to Best Buy geek squad i was able to make the connections and the router is working great.
