I bought this to use in my small business. It has dual band so I can keep the higher speed protected for sales. The second band allows my customers to use a wifi connection when in my store.

If you need a new router and you only have 2 large media devices (non-4k smar-TV's/Gaming Consoles) and some mobile stuff ie. Phones, Tablets, then I would recommend.

Netgear is known for producing great products and this one does not disappoint. I purchased as a gift for a family member and it works well without any issues.

I had issues with the ports not giving me gigabit speeds. My 90 days of support with Netgear past and they did not offer much help. They suggested I pay for extended support before they would claim this under the actual year product warranty. If you purchase netgear, get the geek squad protection. Most of their devices perform great. I have another netgear product but learned by lesson with their support.

The default channel is set to auto, so you might have interference with your neighbors. If you do, get a channel scanner app and set your wifi channel manually.

We live in a rather large apartment complex and purchased this router to help with internet connection. Highly recommend buying this router!

Seemed OK, especially for the money as we got it on sale, but presents security and reliability concerns. Every time I wanted to change wifi password, I'd find that I couldn't access the router's controls. There was also an issue with firmware (which may have since been patched--don't know) that would not turn off WPS, a well known back door for hackers (I have truly terrible/criminal neighbors, so yes, that's a real concern). Ditched it for a more up to date, faster Tenda router.

Spent an hour on the phone with charter, they gave up and said to call netgear. Have not called netgear yet. Would like a tech visit.

I've always liked Netgear because they make products that last and are almost always trouble free. Also because they have great tech support and are easily accessible should problems arise.

My room is on the other side of the house from the modem, so the wifi signal has always been really bad. With this router, I was able to connect to the internet like a normal person again.

It came with 2 options for which choosing a network. We called the support number, got someone in a foreign country, and he was no help. So we chose one and things seem to be working fine.

This router was recommended by the sales person and installed within a few day. The service tech was exceptionally helpful, professional and polite as well as the sales representative.

Works good, just had a bit of an issue getting the printer hooked up wireless. Could not be solved over the phone , someone had to come out to fix it. No issue since.

My sons wanted to work on their work computers when home sooooo in order to make that happen we bought a Wi-Fi Router. It works just fine, I'm happy to say.

For its price range, it is a well performing consumer wireless router. With some careful thought and planning for its placement, wireless coverage is sufficient with adequate throughput.

i had to configure some of my devices with qos and other settings had to be tweeked as well to get full use of the device. some research on web and youtube helped.

the model 1200 is being used to link I tablet ,pc and streaming device to internet. Seems to function ok ,need some more time using the 1200 to really appreciate overall performance.

If you aren't steaming huge amounts of data and are looking for a simple home solution for wifi, this is your product. Relatively inexpensive and stable platform for home wifi.

Wanted a router that would expand wi-fi coverage to all rooms in my house. This did the job very nicely. Had occasion to us phone assistance and was very impressed by the person I spoke to.

I bought this to augment my primary wifi/router, so I'm not using all the router features of this device and cannot comment about those features.
