It does what it says it will with a drop out here and there. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible. I moved my router to a more optimal position and don’t need to use this anymore but if I did need an extender of sorts I would spend the money on a mesh network. Having to switch networks constantly in my own house is rather annoying and a mesh network would solve the problem better than a device like this. That being said, if you need an extender on a budget and the annoyance factor isn’t a dealbreaker, this’ll get you precious WiFi (albeit a bit slower than you’re router connection) in those tough to reach places.

Easy to setup and has outstanding range. I setup the AP near my stairs and it covers the whole second floor.

I hesitate to give the Extender a bad review, because there are many factors that could be effecting its performance. However, as it is now, my Netgear Extender is only online occasionally, so its security factor is compromised.

This product is awesome. It gave me strong service exactly where I needed it. Couldn't be happier!

Do a firmware update as soon as you get it. When I first used the extender, it would disconnect from the internet and get hot. Since the update it works fantastic. My home is long and my router is in the finished basement on one side of home and I can be in the garage on the opposite side with full signal strength. I watch YouTube or whatever in the garage without any issues. I would highly recommend this extender.

Set up easy and works really well. The Netgear WN2500RP was dropping the signal at the range I had it, but works fine closer. Now I have two repeaters. The both are acting like clones for my Asus router, which is nice.
