Very easy set up....I'm not tech savy...but I'm not tech challenged either. 20-30 minutes from out of the box to up and running for two units. I bought two as my house is 3000+ sq feet and the kids bedrooms (think zoom / online classes) are down a long hallway. I placed the first unit downstairs adjacent to the smart TV. The second unit was at the top of the stairs. There was a notable improvement on all devices, including smart cameras etc.. Also, the garage area is now 5 bars. Download speed, wifi related music devices, etc. Everyone is happy. As summer comes back around I may put one additional unit in the backyard.

I bought this unit to get better coverage in my backyard. I installed this in a safe location on the rear deck with line-of-sight to the backyard. It connects to a top-line Netgear Nighthawk. It does a great job of extending the 2.4 ghz signal, but the 5.0 ghz signal doesn't reach as far as I had hoped. It loses the 5.0 signal about 150 feet out. But it suffices, and was easy to install.

Look guys don't expect this thing to make u have full wifi service it just gets the signal you already have in the area you put it in and sort of amplifies it a tad bit. It's just like an extender in short. So instead of having 1-2 bars with shotty signal, you'll have full bars wifi signal with. Slight speed boost. Also great because it has Ethernet out, just in case u need that extra MBPS.

I found the extender easy to set up. It definitely extends your range for your devices. I’m not sure if it would work for a large home as good but if you use your ranges wisely you can have three different devices using three different addresses. They won’t slow down and there’s no interference. My best advice is to experiment, moving it around, change your settings here and there I think you’ll be pleased.

I purchased this product because I had dead spots in my house and it came recommended. The setup wasn't working for me so I called technical support to walk me through it. They asked if they could connect our my computers so that they could control it from their side and I agreed. They basically said that I had some type of virus attached to my wifi and that was why I wasn't able to complete the setup and that they would be able to get rid of it for 49.99. I declined this service because I had security software installed on my computer and felt if I did have a virus they should be able to remove it for free. After I declined they quickly hurried me off the phone . So I followed up with my security software company and they had never heard of such a thing. So then I called my internet provider to verify if there was such an thing and they said they had no information on anything like that but it looked like my modem wasn't activated correctly. so they corrected the problem and walked me through the setup for the extender. Now I do have More reception in my home but every week it seems to freeze when I'm connected to the ext and I have to reset it which isn't a biggie to me.

Easy setup and works great with our modem/router. We have a Netgear Nighthawk AC3200 and it connected instantly when we followed the directions. We simply downloaded the app on our phones and that was it. Now we have it upstairs where we have a lot of dead space near the rear of the house and it extends to that portion of the house. The lights in the front are great for strength indication. It is also nice because it can be moved and used to directly connect one item. Nice if you are playing games on a computer or console away from your router.

it seem to improved the wifi range some, the signal for the area of the house i was trying to improve went from average real slow streaming netflix to good and able to watch netflix or youtube. the setup for the this device was simple just read and following the directions. the reaon for a 4star and not 5 was because even though it did improve the signal some it didnt improve it as mch as i had hoped for what i paid

Works great! We needed better internet signal in the studio/office in our back yard. We went from a spotty signal with 1 bar to 3 or 4 bars and a consistent connection once we started using this product. Very easy to set up.

We needed an extra boost for wifi on the other end of the house, and this was recommended by a store associate. It was easy to set up and works really well, we're getting speeds that equal that of the router.

Easiest setup I have come across. I'm using a Netgear WiFi Router with this Netgear extender and it was almost plug and play. Very good range, features and speed. Fits my needs perfectly.

I had very poor internet reception in my home office. I installed this (easy) and my office went from approx 20 mps to between 89 and 150 mps on a consistent basis. I am on a 150 mps plan.
I found that sometimes I have to "reset" it for some reason.
I am pleased with purchase and operation.

My last extender died so I was searching for something that would give both good range and to be easy to set up. This does both and does it well. And, the price was reasonable. A good purchase.

Although our condo is small two bedroom condo, for some reason we never had good wifi signal when we were in our bedrooms. We noticed Internet speed slowed down and we were contemplating on either getting a new router or extender. I stumbled into this extender and since it is a mesh extender, it allows you to keep your connection seamlessly. This extender did the trick and now we have good coverage anywhere within the condo. We saw significant improvement in Internet speed as well. Easy set up and we are very happy with the product.

Did exactly what I wanted to do and that was strengthen my Wi-Fi signal range due to how my house is designed. Certain rooms was getting a weaker signal due to how far the router was in respect to the location of the devices in those rooms. Used this Netgear AC1200 range extender and made everything so much better. Highly recommend if you need to extend your range and setup took about 10 minutes to do from scratch.

First Extender, Did What I needed

I have never needed an extender, but since adding a Ring Doorbell and outside Blink cameras, I needed a stronger signal towards the front of my home. I use a nighthawk x10 router, so my signal has always been excellent, this extender, plugged in by my front door increased speed exactly where I needed it. It was easy to set up. I will caution you. I did not need a 5ghz signal extended, so I only chose the 2.4 band at setup, but you have to chose the option.

I got this to maximize my wifi strength to the backyard where we like to do school work or zoom meetings. This was the easiest extender I've ever bought. I've tried two others before. The setup was easy to follow and it uses our wifi's password and settings so no extra passwords to remember!
