I purchased this device to extend the wifi in my place. It was a very simple setup for the Verizon router I have. I pay for 100 down and 100 up and with the device I was able to get 80 up and down. I am giving it 4 stars because after 3 weeks of running it seems to fail pushing out the 5ghz connection even though it still broadcast the 2ghz connection, all that I needed to do was unplug and plug back in but I wouldn't expect this for something that was just purchased. Other than that no issues I can stream 4 k to it with no lag unless lots of people are on the wifi streaming as well then u may or may not get a buffer here and there but for family night it shouldn't interfere if everyone is there watching the 4K movie. Additionally it has removed all lag that I was getting on Xbox live wirelessly. Last thing is I really like that I can use it wirelessly and with an Ethernet connection simultaneously this feature can be set by the side switch.

This is a good extender. The one problem is every night I have to reboot it. In our 1400 sq. ft. house I am having to buy a second one. Other that that it works good. It is fairly easy to set up, if you are adapt at least a little with computers and can or will read instructions.

The set up and installation took about ten minutes. It was super easy. So far, the product is working really good, extending the wifi into my backyard where we hang out a lot. One of the best things I love about this product is that there is virtually no plastic packaging. Just one tiny sheet to protect the face of the product. I felt especially good about my purchase because of this. I feel that most everything we buy is way over packaged when there is no need for that.

This is literally plug and play and is fairly easy to set up. We use this as an extender and renaming the extended WiFi and creating a password is quick with the online setup. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants something easy and that works to extend their WiFi over the house.

I purchaed this Netgear extender for my 2300 square foot one story house. I had previously bought an Asus Model RT-AC68P Wireless AC 1900 router to replace an old router that started to fail. Contrary to the great reviews for this router, the signal would not extend very well from the one corner of the house it is located in to the opposite corner where the master bedroom is. I tried various adjustments to the router, but nothing would consistently make it extend its signal any further than the middle of the house. Even though it is supposed to be a powerful router, the AC standard part does not do well at further ranges, a fact the Geek Squad employee told me was a draw back to AC. Strong, fast signal close in but not so much further away. Of course, your experience may be completely different and there are numerous other factors that can affect the signal. Anyway, I decided to try out the Netgear and am very happy with the results. My signal and speed are exceptional in the master bedroom now and I couldn't be happier. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars, is because I haven't had it long enough yet to make certain it will continue to do an excellent job.

We use CenturyLink high speed internet (1gb) but has issues with WIFI connection with a computer one floor above and on the opposite end of our house (many walls between router and computer). This range extender nearly doubled the WIFI speed and keeps a strong signal that has not dropped out since we installed it. We conduct medical insurance interviews and transcription that needs very accurate data throughput and this has met the requirement very well.

Bought this to extend coverage to a dead zone in my house and it works set up online was easy and took around 3 minutes. change wifi name to my router name optional but it keeps your wireless device on same network through out the house. You will see a slight drop off in speed on the extender but not bad overall

This is a great device to extend your WiFi coverage. You can use it as a bridge and have it repeat your existing WiFi network or you can use as an Access Point and plug it into an Ethernet cable that connects to your Router and extend the Wifi too. Works great for me in the AP mode to get WiFi where I didn't have it before.

The setup is easy and the WiFi coverage is good. No problems or complaints so far. To get better coverage place the extender high above the floor and midway between the router and the area with poor reception.

This is my second Wi-Fi extender from NETGEAR, the first being the Travel Wi-Fi extender PR2000. After switching to the AC1200 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Range Extender I noticed the difference in performance immediately. I'm now able to extend Wi-Fi throughout the whole house as well as the backyard. I would highly recommend this product if you have dead spots in your house, enjoy streaming, or online gaming.

Had a dead space in the house where my son plays Xbox and his WiFi Access was non-existent. Tried using a wired extender through the electrical system but that wasn't working very well. Initial installation of this device didn't give a good enough connection back to the central router but after moving to a couple of locations finally located the sweet spot and connectivity in that dead spot is fantastic! Easy installation & configuration. Highly recommended.

My house has the wifi on the 1st floor and reception on the second floor was sketchy. Plugged this unit into the electric wall outlet at the top of the stairs and it provided a strong and fast signal for the entire upstairs. Instructions were easy enough. Only reason it is not a 5 is cost.

This was easy to set up and worked seamlessly with the router in my house. I followed the instructions for set up and it worked perfectly when I put it in its final position. Speed test in the furthest reaches of the house jumped from being insufficient for streaming internet TV or downloading a new book to my Kindle to those things connecting and working in seconds.

Took hr & half to get it set up/ linked to wifi. Possibly the wifi signal is having issue, fading out every few days. Idk why, but that's why this product was purchased. Thinking the wifi wasn't reaching far enough (weak signal). It has helped, but signal still fades about once a week. Still haven't figured it what's going on with that.
