I bought this wifi booster, mostly for my PS4 console, based on internet reviews and Best Buy user recommendations. I live downstairs and our internet router is upstairs in another room. I was getting a 36% wifi signal strength on my PS4 console. After having bought this Wifi booster that wifi signal strength jumped to 100% on my PS4 console! I was literally overjoyed in excitement when I saw that wifi connection to full strength after having it so low for so long. I am so glad I can finally play my PS4 console online without it being slow like it was before due to a bad wifi connection with just my standard router. My laptop and smartphone all connect to the internet fast too. I can finally watch Youtube videos again.
This is super easy to setup through a computer and easy to put together too. My only complaint is that I did not buy this router sooner. It's kind of pricey, but so worth it. I really recommend this product if you are having a slow internet connection due to being too far away from your internet router, especially if you live on a separate floor from your router.

A product that delivers

I have tried four range extenders. None of them helped very much. The EX6200 delivered everything Netgear said it would. Stable wireless connection. 95-100% signal strength. My wireless speed jumped from an average of 1.5 Mps to an average of 30.22 Mps. Easy set-up.

This works wonders with my R8000. I needed this item to boot its connection into my kitchen, where there is a lot of interference.
Easy setup if you have WPS, just click the WPS buttons on the extender first and then on your router after. Let it connect. Do this twice to connect both the 2.4 Ghz and the 5 Ghz band onto the extender.
I was able to place the same name of my wireless router to the extender as well as the same security key to allow my devices to connect automatically to the extender whenever possible. It works wonderfully.
Great product, simple setup, would highly recommend.

Great Wi-Fi Extender

So I needed a WiFi extender for my detached garage which is about 125 ft. from the Wi-Fi router in the house.
I first bought the Netgear Universal WIFI Extender ($59.00)that plugs into an outlet. This only gave a weak signal in the garage.
So I exchanged it for the Netgear AC1200.
After setting up the AC1200,I was able to place it at the furthest end of the house near the detached garage. The signal was greatly improved giving my smartphone 3 bars.
I am now able to play Spotify ad Pandora thru my new stereo!

This is my 2nd one. My first one is used downstairs to extend my Surfboard Cable Modem/Wireless Router. I had it for 2 years. I bought the second one to replace a different brand that quit working for my upstairs connection. Setting up the 2nd AC1200 to connect to the first AC1200 worked easily. I just connected my tablet to the 2nd AC1200, followed the onscreen prompts and I was successfully connect upstairs without running any additional wires. This is not the normal setup, but the signal strength to my Surfboard upstairs was too weak, but the 1st AC1200 was very strong. I need the 2nd AC1200 to connect a decktop office computer via wire to the internet. The cost for a USB Wireless adapter was almost the same cost as the 2nd AC1200, so I went that direction so I could hook up via wire my satellite receiver, B-Ray Disc and Smart TV to the internet. So far everything is functioning without any difficulties. The internet speed on the desktop is very quick.

I purchased this to replace my older Netgear extender. With the old one I had serious bandwidth issues, that is not the case with this one. My modem is upstairs and runs about 105 Mbps, the older extender ran roughly 15-20 Mbps. I have tested this extender multiple time and it runs on average of 75Mbps. The coverage is great as well. Can't beat it for the price.

Our Wi-Fi signal was weak and at times totally missing. After setting up the Wi-Fi extender, which was surprisingly easy, the signal was 100% better. I can even pick up the signal as we're driving down our street quite a ways!

I use this as an access point using wired ethernet to create wifi in far end of house. The odd thing about it is if you hook up this way you cant use the wired outlets. If you use as an extender, grabbing the weak signal and repeating it you can use both the wifi it puts out and the wired ports. Of course doing that you are halving your through put as the device uses half of your bandwidth to communicate with the host router. It is easy to hook up and it dose provide a strong signal.

Best WiFi extender I Had

I had several models for extender, using a Fios Internet and Verizon router.
The signal is working like a charm on second floor, with e-net connection to second desktop. I checked the speed after using the Optimizer and got 40MBps upload and 53Mbps download, with 10ms latency.
