Customers are saying

Customers value the AC1200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender for its ease of use, significantly improved Wi-Fi range and signal strength, resulting in better overall performance and coverage. Many appreciate the straightforward setup process. While some find the price a bit high, the positive feedback on performance and range outweighs this concern for most users.

Connects very easily to router and holds connection consistently. Speed is outstanding, very close to being wired directly. Previous extender would drop connection or reduce speed too often. This one has been great for streaming 4K on Roku 4 in upstairs area of home. Highly recommend.

I started having all sorts of trouble with my Securifi Almond range extender connecting to my original U-verse wifi router. I finally gave up after days on the phone with that company's tech help. I then bought this Netgear unit that was almost my choice the first time. I wish I would have gone with the Netgear right away. It works like a charm on the total opposite side of the house from the original signal. Very pleased with it.

I was considering moving to a wi-fi mesh system but considered it to be overkill in our townhouse (only 1200 sq. ft with upstairs and downstairs). Our current Wi-fi source (netgear nighthawk x6) is amazing but is located downstairs and won't quite reach the far side of the house upstairs where we have a streaming media device. I thought I would give this device a try and it worked out great. Additionally, it has a setting that allows you to adjust its transmit power so that you can cover a small dead spot without bleeding a lot of signal noise into your good coverage area from your primary wi-fi device. I set the unit up from my laptop in about 5 minutes without any issues or even a peek at a manual. I would highly recommend this device to anyone who has a smaller area to cover and doesn't really need nor want to spend the extra money on a mesh network system.

Used this to boost signal from one floor to another. Main router was upstairs and extender was located downstairs to boost signal for our smart TV. Took care of the "buffering" that was such a nuisance while trying to watch Netflix, IHEARt radio, etc. Happy with it so far.

I am Verizon FiOS customer with their Quantum Router so both 2.4 and 5 g are options. Set up extender per instruction and the 2.4 band came right up but the 5g band would not connect. Changed Verizon router to a channel instead of AUTO channel and put these same channel in the Netgear both bands came right up. I placed the extender in an upstairs bedroom and to my surprise its 2.4 signal is better in the whole house than the Verizon router. The extender's 5 g signal is 10dbs better than the router upstairs (DUH) but only 2 db less than Verizon router downstairs. Also if you do not have signal meter or APP for such on your phone download Netgears phone APP, very nice program for home use and some business needs. Product has been up and running for a few weeks and is doing great. If you have any weak WiFi spots in your house I would get this product. PS I use to work for Verizon testing Fios ( Get the product)

Works well to room at the other end of the housedownstairs. Also bought the USB 3.0 adapter for the pc. Speedtest for download. approach that of connecting directly to the router. Have issues with software updates after I tried to remove previous netgear extender's software. Since it is working well I decided to leave it as is for now.

I bought this to extend my wifi range because we bought our son an Xbox one for Christmas. Setup is very easy, using this in a two story house upstairs and the signal is great. I can be on my ps4 while he's gaming with no problems. Definitely recommend.

I'm using this to connect a security camera system located in a detached garage at least 75 yards from the house where the main router is located. Connection is not really strong, but streaming video from the security NVR over the Internet is great, and hasn't had any problems.

The extender is a breeze to set up. I got two of them. One set up as an access point at my house and the other as an extender for my parent. Pretty happy with the performance with both of them so far. The coverage is much improved and now I can use the 5GHz band.
