Works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great extender for my network to connect my wired security hub to! It was easy to configure and I'm super happy with it. Low profile, too! My wireless has been extended and works well outside my duplex home.

Simply Awesome for your home network
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best network extenders in my point of view it super powerful and its super elegant. I was concerned that it will drop the speeds of the network at home and that does not seem the case! IT truly will hold on and the beamforwarding is extremly powerful. I feel like it will help in the long term at my house. I love in a 5 bedroom house and now the Wifi extends to the rest of the house. No more staying in one room .

Good buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install. Our house have 3700ft and we need an ample range of coberture, this router extension provides it. The range is bigger than the main router..need to install on a central location for better results

Well I can't really revi this item...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like so many people these days, Wi-Fi doesn't always extend through the house. I purchased this extender but did not open it. I am going to start over by buying a much better router and see how that goes.

Paired with powerline adapter this is excelent
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried as pure wireless extender/repeater and had very spotty connections, constantly dropped and was forced to reset almost daily. Purchased a new power-line adapter with Ethernet out with this extender hardwired and it has been rock solid ever since. Never a need to reset and no drop outs.

Good Extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did the trick to expand wifi reach over the whole house. Only complaint is that you have to manually connect or reconnect to it or main router based on location, but that's a device issue, not the extender.

Dubious Marketing & died < 1year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this Netgear AC1200 extender in March to help alleviate the poor wifi coverage I get in my apartment complex due to the dozens of broadcasting routers causing too much noise. Out of the box it worked just fine, I wasn't using the "fast lane" thing (see #2 below) and I was consistently getting about 900-1200 mbps between my macbook pro and the extender, whereas before I couldn't get above 300mbps connecting to my router from where I was in the apartment. The device is getting 2 stars however: 1. It died in less than a year. It's now December and the extender barely works. Some devices that connected just fine are now unable to connect, or when they do cannot access the internet, which is strange considering connecting to the router that is being extended works fine, albeit slower. I have had to power cycle the device about every two hours to keep a stable connection. 2. I really don't understand how the "fast lane" tech is supposed to work. You cannot get the same wireless bandwidth over a 2.4ghz connection that you can over a 5.0ghz connection. If you are broadcasting solely over 2.4ghz from the extender, or between the extender and the router, then you are limiting the speeds to 400mbps at best.

Good not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my upstairs rooms and it seems to not have a signal every one in a while. I haven't tried other extenders yet, but this will do for now.

helped boost wireless, but less than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a split level home. This boosted the wireless capabilities for the top floor only. There is a wall in my home that seems to "block" this machine. It seems to provide wireless better outside than it does inside the house. Although it is not as good as I would hope, it did at least improve my situation. It was easy to set up for someone who is not technically gifted.

Worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works great and is well worth the price to extend the range and easy to set up!

good range extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.simple enough to set up for someone with basic technical knowledge and knows how to access their existing router. of course, this is a range extender, not a router. no option to hardwire this to the main router, wireless only. on that note, it's got good range and if you set the antennas to the right angle, you can improve the speed of your connections.

Does what it claims
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had weak Wi-Fi signal in two bedrooms on the main floor of my home. and often I would loose the signal completely in one of the rooms. My router is in the basement at the opposite side of the house from the bedrooms. After setting up the netgear on the main floor 1/2 way between the basement door & bedrooms the signal in both bedrooms increased to excellent.
