Not compatible with asus desktop using azure wave Bluetooth/wifi wireless adapter, 2.4 ghz will not work when connected, No fix as of yet, Three weeks of troubleshooting and almost 9 hrs on phone with tech support, if you own a desktop with a azure wave adapter stay away,

After buying an ASUS dual band router 11 months earlier and having nothing but problems I gave up on it and purchased this router. After about a month I have had no reliability issues. The only issue is that the setup wizard isn't particularly magical. In this regard it failed to find my cable modem. I had to go back and find its MAC address so that the router could find it. Once that issue was resolved it has been smooth sailing. Contrary to popular notions the 2.4 GHz channel has greater distance capability than the 5 GHz. The 5 GHz has the capability of delivering data at a greater speed (this should be obvious) but both channels are limited by the speed of my cable modem. Even at the basic data rate of my ISP, I don't notice a lag.

Super fast and the range is huge. Can still be connected when I walk out to my car

Had prior experience with Netgear and they preformed flawlessly and the ac1600 did not disappoint. As with there other products I have used this was easy to setup right out of the box and have yet to need a reboot. Would strongly recommend this unit.

I have always owned Netgear devices and this one exceeds my expectations. The dual band wifi helps separate the traffic from the users to dedicate more data to streaming devices. Very easy to set up and the compact design is perfect for limited space.

So far this router works great and sends a strong signal. I have had it nearly 1 year. Like that the LEDs can be set to not flash or even be off. Have found that we need to reboot it about once a month, but most are that way.

Since upgrading my router I am receiving a much better signal. Glad I made the switch

im not a techy & i changed routers with my service so who knows whats better,but my internet went up from 1mbps to 30 mbps so that is a huge difference not sure what the big deal with the router is but hey it could be great , i have no idea. did review for points, yua Colleti Out!

NetGear is a great product. would have been a 5 star but the software was confusing.

This router has been great & can handle all our devices that we have in the home!

I needed to update my router, and this allows me to do that with room to grow.

Works as advertised. But had issues with installing it had to call customer service.

The router is good enough for five to ten devices.

Took the advise of the Best Buy Associate and the item has worked beautifully.

Needed a new router to go along with the new modem I purchased for our new townhome. The Best Buy rep recommended this Netgear Dual Band model to go along with his recommended new modem. Easy to set up and works without any issues. I'm Happy.
