Good distance

The speed is not good and I have to reset the unit often. I would not recommend this product. Use the money towards something els.

Should have bought Geek Squad Support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've set up a NetGear wireless network before so thought this would be easy. When I had an issue, I called NetGear for support. We spent at least 1 hour working through the install and then they said it was a hardware issue and I needed to return and get a new one. After picking up a new device, the same issue happened, so I insisted on talking with a higher level of support. NetGear support had little experience with tying the device into the Comcast modem and it took them quite a bit to figure out the steps to complete the install properly. We needed to 'bridge' the modem to the router which needed to be done on the Comcast side. It took 3 hours to figure that out and they needed me to do some steps on the Comcast side to get it to work properly. They left me on my own to work with Comcast to figure that part out. I did find specific steps on the Comcast site which weren't hard but you needed to know to do them. After about 4 hours, it's working and I have speeds I was expecting into the back part of my house as well. Have had no issues since set-up complete and performance is great. Based on the amount of time I had to spend talking with NetGear and then Comcast, it definitely would have been easier to have the geek squad do the install and a lot less of my time trying to figure it out.

Playing Catchup to a Very Smart Router

I downloaded the user guide and used that to show me how to set up reserved IP addresses for 11 devices.

Netgear is still the best

I've always appreciated Netgear's easy installation, thorough instructions, and simple GUI, to get everything done.

Great for apartments!

After having it for sometime I’ve been able to review with a fair mind. Setup was easy, connection speeds are very fast (like extremely fast) and I haven’t had any issues with dropping or losing connection. The only con I’d say is the price but is well worth it.

Great for homes with split floor plans

Wide range tested. 1300 sq ft home, split floor plan, and I still have router access from my parking spot in the garage. Multiple devices running at the same time. Also has a smart phone app available, that gives you the ability to designate device priorities. Great router.

Easy to set up and use

The router was very easy to set up. I easily hooked up my computer, printer, security device, phone, and tablets to the wireless connection. It set up WPA2 security and has an app to see your wireless connections and make any changes.

NETGEAR - AC1750

As soon as I set it up, my signal was strong enough to reach the garage and back porch where in the past I had constantly dropped signals. Price was very reasonable considering the increase performance.
