This router has been great. I have had this router for a while and have seen better than expected speed from my slow internet provider. A family of four can all be accommodated even though the internet company only promises minimal speed—I attribute it to the better router.

For the extent of my range (40 ft) the 5g is the way to go. Much better than the internet provider AC wireless!!

This NETGEAR router works great in our new home in The Villages. Easy to set up and able to reach all our devices throughout our home. I have used NETGEAR products for many years and they have never disappointed!

No machine is perfect, so I rate this router as a 4.5 stars. Easy connectivity that really expanded my existing signal. Works as advertised and maybe even better. I am not too technical to delve into specifics, but I notice a stronger signal at the furthest point of my home.

very easy to set up. The wizard makes it easier than 1.2.3. It's small sleek design makes it pretty sturdy. It fell a few times when my 2 YO decided he wanted to be a monkey, and hasnt broken either internals or frame. Antennae are pretty strong too. Id recommend this all the time.

I had no need for the newest ultra high speed wireless (most folks don't actually if you look at the numbers) so this was more than adequate for my needs. It performs well and as less than bleeding edge was a good value. It also had some of the advanced user controls that I needed (static routing e.g.)

I have TWC and purchase this router after a speed test. TWC equipment is old and slow. This router gives you the dual option to go the 5ghz which is less traffic less congested. It is faster and much a better connection of course much better than TWC equipment. This was a upgrade to be sure.

Lets start with I'm not a computer guy. Have no idea how this thing works. Its definitely faster than what it replaced. It also recognizes my phone with no issue unlike the old router. Wish I was more tech savvy and could supply all of the tech geeks out there with more useful info but I cant.

All over all very solid router. I would rate it 4.3 to 4.5 (For me to rate something 5 it would have to be guaranteed longevity of performance) I bought and installed about 10 of them so far. My concern is longevity but only time will tell that story but if it is like most of the other NETGEAR things that I buy router should last 4 to 5 years. I will start with good things. LAN performance is good and solid, 2.4GHz is very stable so far no problems, easy to configure and easy to understand even the advanced things (at least for me) bad part: reboot takes long time and 5GHz wireless network not as stable as I would like it (drops some time and a bit of sluggish on 3 out of 10 that I have installed so far) The only router that has very solid performance on 5GHz so far is Ruckus however the price difference is enormous All over all for the price you get very stable and easy to configure router.

I bought this router to replace another one that was always dropping signal, and it was not that old and cost about $40.00 more than this one. This one works better than my older one that cost more money and this one never drops signal. It is very strong and very good..

Replaced an older Netgear router. Much more power and greater range. Occasionally must be reset after power surges.

Overall functions are good. Very little difference in internet speed when placed in the line. (A good thing) The setup can be misleading as to type connection to internet is needed. If this is the primary router, be sure the correct settings are applied or your network will be exposed to the world.

Upgraded our 6 year old router to this and it has made connecting so much easier. Set up with ten app have us some issues at first but after figuring it out we love how we can control who uses the wifi and limit our kids access

I needed to upgrade my older router as it was not keeping up with current wireless speeds. I picked this up and it worked nicely. It's kind of large and looks like a spaceship or something but you can turn the lights off if desired. It Sends out a good signal that reaches all the places in my home.

We had a budget router (less than $100) that worked for years. As we added a couple smart TV's and other devices it couldn't keep up. Even though we had 100Mbps internet, the kid's Xbox would lag, Netflix would stall, etc. This router ended everyone's complaints. Well worth the extra money.
