I have a similar router at a large home in OH and get wonderful streaming and I can use my laptop in the gazebo on the deck even though the router is upstairs and far away. I needed a new router at our vacation home so there was no contest, I was staying with NetGear. This one is just as great.

I purchase this router to improve my DSL from Century Link reception. After some configuration, it works well.

Setup was less then 10 mins and internet speeds have been great. Gives you 2 options/speeds to connect so you can prioritize which laptops or game consoles or iPhones get high speed connection. Companion app is straight-forward thus making the control of router easy.

This is our second one so i'm speaking from experience when I say that you need to update the router for it to work effectively (the first time). After which, it's awesome and after loading the app for it, you can change your password or check the status anytime from anywhere.

It’s nice it works fast. special when my phone don’t get cell service in my house very good

Lower level in home had some spots where coverage would be weak. Netgear 48 has fixed that!

I bought this router to upgrade from a combo modem/router I had. The setup was very easy, but I noticed I was not getting my advertised speeds from my ISP (which isn't completely unheard of). After pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I was getting about half the speed of my ISP (buying 250mb down and only getting 150mb at most, on both wifi and directly connected to the router), I found out that the newer firmware was somehow bogging down the speeds you can get. I'm currently on firmware v1.0.4.198, and have found many people online with the same issue with newer firmware. I plugged my computer directly to my modem and instantly got the max speed. The solution was to rollback the firmware to v1.0.3.66, which seemed to fix it for a lot of people with not only this router but other Netgear routers as well. The issue with rolling back your firmware is you do not have the latest security update. So really this is only a solution if you have an older Netgear router and absolutely do not want to purchase a new router. Because I recently purchased this router, I will be returning it and avoiding Netgear.

After setting up wireless routers using the IP address of the router for many years, this wireless router was by far the EASIEST wireless router I have ever set up. Simple, easy to follow directions using the app makes it quick and simple.

I needed to replace our aging router and did a lot of research and found this one to be perfect. It works really well and is easy to set up. This one was perfect for Our household as we have quite a few people online usually.

This is one of the best routers I have owned as of this point in time. It has been defect and issue free for the 6 or so months that I have owned it. It spreads WiFi throughout my house magnificently - where my last wireless router would barely reach my master bedroom in the back of the house, this router provides an excellent wireless signal. The software is intuitive and easy to use. Netgear provides a solid little application you can installed called Netgear Genie that makes setting up your wireless experience a breeze for those who are inexperienced or don't have the patience to sort through all of the options that modern routers provide in order to set up a secure, functional wireless ecosystem in your home.

Worth every penny, easy install, speedy & secured connections. We love the feature for guests & main connections to the wifi. We don't have to worry if there are too many connections that may slow it down. The app is a little underdeveloped but is also a bonus to this great router.

Got as a replacement to the Comcast issued one with our internet service. I also purchased my own cable modem. As a combo they work well and I'm pretty happy with the performance. There are a lot of features that most users won't need, but I have found to be good and make this a perfect purchase for our needs at home.

I bought this router to replace my old one. It was easy to set up and I can use an app to set up any needed controls. I’m fairly computer literate but not a techie by any means. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I bought this router to replace my very old router. I was worried it would be difficult to set up since I am not a tech person. It was very easy - I had to set up a static IP address and that was no problem either.

Fantastic router for the money. I've only got 50mbps down, so I have no use for a faster wireless router

I actually ended up returning this router only because the router wasn't my problem. This router was recommended to me by 2 of my friends and they "HIGHLY" recommended this model. I can say that my friends are very pleased with this model and are happy with their selection !

While it hasn't wowed me it has done everything as advertised and most importantly, created no problems. Set up was easy.
