    Unexpected Clerk Behavior

Please know that I had an appointment for service on my Apple IPad....I was timely and waited in line....I was told 1..I had no appointment. 2. 'we' don't service IPAD's....I had made the BEST BUY appointment at a recommendation from a Bests BUY in home service persons. I was told 1. set up an appointment 2. DROP the IPAD off and return when the agent suggests completion of service....NONE of the above happened as your service tech had shared. AS COVID is ever present....BEST BUY was not the place to stand in line...and wait to be REBUFFED by an uninformed clerk. I normally do not complain....but felt that this type of behavior, etc was not part of your company policy....

So I thought about this router saying it is expensive and I willl not need to pay more money after a year to update the firmware same it happened with all my prior router, but I was definitely wrong, it died after a year minus a week from the day of purchase, customer support took almost $30 to do certain work and update the firmware, it didn’t work, they told me it is defective and they tried to convince us that we are out of warranty but luckily I saw that we are I’m under warranty as we called them before the year end with few days and they changed it for us. After a year I am almost sure I will face the same issue again.

    Excellent Product

I finally got fed up with my old A/B/G router that I needed to restart about once a month to get my devices to connect. I wanted an AC just to be compatible for future product as I think only my iPad supports wireless AC. I found this product on sale around Christmas time and picked it up. I was much better than I could have expected. First of all, I have had it for 3 months and have not had any issues like disconnects, so that's a plus. What I really like is the Netgear Genie iPhone app that I can use to perform some simple functions like, control guest access, reboot the router. Another nice thing is a network map feature where you can see what devices are currently connected to the router. You have to log into the web administration console to get more advanced features though. One thing that drove me nuts with my old router was the very large blue button on the top that flashed when there was network traffic. This router had the option to disable all lights except the power light. The one downside to that is that my wife was cleaning the furniture recently and accidentally powered off the wifi. She thought she had broken it and it took me 20 minutes to figure out that I needed to hold the wifi button on the device down to 3 seconds to re-enable the wifi. Pros: - Much better range then my previous router - iPhone app is a plus - No flashing lights if you don't want them - No issues so far Cons: - The only one I can think of is the issue where it got turned off. It would have been more obvious if I had left all the lights on as the wifi light would have been Off instead of On like usual, so I guess I brought that upon myself.

We bought this router because it was supposed to be “ the best of the best of the best”!! As soon as our “3 month warranty” ran out we started having issues with it. It doesn’t support what it says it will. Upon calling Net Gear they tell us that our warranty has expired and that they will be glad to sell us a 2 year extended warranty for twice the price as what we paid for this thing. I wouldn’t suggest buying this thing $120 brick is all I can say about it!!

Wanted a new router so purchased the Netgear AC1750. Right from installation I ran into an issue that has yet to be resolved. Issue is this. Each time i access the internet i get an error message. Either when i start my isp or when i call a website. It is most annoying when i am accessing my bank for check processing or other sites that require more than one screen to accomplish a task. I get an error message like "no internet service" or "unable to reach internet". Returned unit once and was replaced again by Netgear. still having the same problem. ON the upside my wifi is awesome. Sometime the issue resolves itself other times i can fix by using the f5 key and other times i just grow old waiting. Also it appears my internet access using my Ethernet is no faster then my old Service provider router. From my perspective i would never buy another Netgear router.

    NEATGEAR debacle!

Unfortunately the router did not work! It also caused problems with my internet system with my blue ridge internet cable modems and all 3 had to be replaced. I followed the NETGEAR instructions and called them for support, and at the same time purchased a 3 year tech support package. After finding that the new router was the cause of the problem I did return the router 5 days later to you at Best Buy and you were very prompt at giving me a full refund. However the NETGEAR people refused to refund the $39.95 3 year tech support subscription even though their product was defective. A+ for Best Buy, F- for NETGEAR. Maybe you could help me?
