Customers are pleased with the AC1750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5 Router's ease of use, range, and performance, frequently citing its straightforward setup and strong signal. Many appreciate the router's reliable coverage and its suitability for streaming. While some find the router's size a bit large, the majority of negative feedback focuses on minor issues such as occasional lag and bright lights.

This was recommended to my mother after your sales associate told her you no longer carried the Apple airports. After 2 hours of frustration, 5 minutes on the phone with Apple. And a trip back to the store to return it. Bought an Apple airport, of which you had many in stock. It worked perfectly. Never ever a netgear piece of garbage.

I bought it to replace one that blew out during a lighting storm. The exact same model that i haf before because it worked well for me. The new one keeps disconnecting from the internet when on wifi. Totally fine if you're connected via ethernet. What's worse is best buy gives you less than 30 days to return it.

Very disappointed with this router. I work from home and my work laptop is constantly dropping it's connection, my other devices (iPhones) lose connectivity and when I try to connect, it rejects the password, and my overall speed seems slower that before. Netgear tech support wasn't much help either - basically going through their standard steps - which didn't help. And the best part, Best Buy only offers a 15 day return policy, so I'm stuck with this.

This router was good until the 60 day night hawk customer service expired then it started dropping connection like crazy called the company but unless you purchase their 90 dollar a year support you can't talk to them on the phone you have to send an email which they give you the run about ended up buying a new one and threw this on the garbage

I have to reboot the system about once per week to re-establish internet connection. I have updated firmware, but that has not helped. Also, purchased this unit to have extra wifi distance, and it is no better than the cheap model that I replaced (which was a 2010 model). Have purchased Netgear in the past, and liked their products, but with this router, its not working.

In the past few years, I've had the need for a router or two, for different reasons, and each time I give the Netgear lineup a chance...and each time it's a failure. One would think it's just me, but I return to the store each time, grab a Linksys product and it works on the first time. There was plenty of troubleshooting done with this product and it never worked.

    STAY AWAY - KNOWN ISSUES

This routers firmware has known issues, especially on 2.4G. Netgear refused to help fix or resove, they said the issue was in my house. Their forums are filled with people saying the same thing. A firmware update killed the 2.4G speed. A stand alone AP plugged into this works better and faster than the built in Wifi on 2.4g. MY advice, dont buy this model.

Exchanged the first AC1750 that I purchased because the wireless connection was dreadfully slow. Returned the second AC1750 because it kept dropping wireless connections. Finally purchased a more expensive NETGEAR model that seems to be working okay.

    Excellent upgrade

The AC1750 R6400 router provides longer range for 2.4 GHz. I'm getting a strong signal in areas where WiFi was previously weak. Hubby and I live in a rural setting and I have IP cameras set up 85+ feet away to watch wildlife. Also, now getting a signal 200 ft away down a cliff! The setup was straight forward and port forwarding was easy. I contemplated getting an ASUS, I respect the brand, but their forum has no support, where Netgear's forum is very active. Found several posts stating the last three ASUS models have port forwarding but didn't function and no replies from ASUS. Ever. This is my third Netgear router. Nothing wrong with the old ones, I like updating for better distance and the fun of learning new equipment.

    Outstanding upgrade

I am in the process of upgrading all my computer equipment to apple and needed to upgrade my R600 to the new AC standard. I found this router at Best Buy on Black Friday and jumped on it like a hound on rabbits. I now have gigabyte speeds over wireless. I plugged a PNY turbo plus 128gb flash drive into the sub 3 port on the router and have fast storage available to all my devices. This is important because my lap top only has USB 2 ports. My signal strength is 100% is Everywhere in my house. There is no buffering either. The router was simple to install BTW, I also use wifi calling w/o stutter or echo. All. In all this has been a huge upgrade. I'm very pleased and I would recommend this router to all my friends
