    Boots on and off. No built in ups. Uses slot of power and is very bright.

    Bought a cheap router and decided to buy this one and wasn't much difference in quality of internet throughout house

    Great Wi-Fi router

    No pronounced signal drop on the 5GHz and very small drop on the 2.4GHz band. It is a little bigger than anticipated, but not enormous. I'm clocking 100% speeds as I get off the tap. Set up was EXTREMELY easy and the genie app is a great tool. You can control the router from your phone, iPad or computer easily. Very happy with the product.

    Worked good for 2 weeks, then would not connect to the cable modem. Note that there are 3 versions of this router. The one I got was the v2, which is the worst of the 3 versions. Fortunately, I purchased the extended warranty, so I returned the router to the store, and exchanged it for an Asus. No more Netgear products for me.

    Terrible router— worked OK for a little while, but then started rebooting constantly, until finally, the 5Ghz WiFi completely stopped working. Netgear customer service was very poor when I called them. Ended up upgrading to an Eero Pro 6 and am glad to not have to worry about this awful router.

    The directions don’t show you how to set it up using satellite. When we did figure how to set it up, it did not work. Our satellite company couldn’t locate the signal. It was defective right out of the box. The satellite company states this happens with this brand frequently.

    Most annoying router I ever owned

    I bought this router back in December, and I had high hopes for it, but I started having glitches with all my Apple devices connected to the wifi, then my PC started horribly slowing down. I have to restart my modem and this router about once a week, it’s all a royal pain.

    We purchased this after being advised by our oldest step son that a router would help us limit our youngest step son's gaming. We told the employees what we were looking for and this was what they recommended. It works great for the gaming, but not for setting parental controls. We have to manually turn the controls off and on, instead of being able to set times.

    After numerous unsuccessful attempts to download software and connect to Netgear I placed call to Apple support. Rep and I spent 6 mins looking on Netgear website to finally realize they offer no software to work on desktops or laptops. They make no indication in the online information either at Netgear or Best Buy.

    I got this because my previous router was circa 2011. I never got it to connect. It is still in my closet because we can't go into stores for returns at this time. Followed all instructions and the proper orders of what gets plugged in first....NOTHING! Save your money and get a different brand.

    Will not recognize default password. Must be reset every 2 to 3 days. Net gear support leaves you on hold for hours until they hang up on you. Can't even get warranty because you have to talk to someone at support where they will not answer the phone.
