    Netgear is no longer good

Difficult to use and would not get up to gigabit speed even after changing all the settings. Bought a tp link router and it was working perfectly right out of the box. Used to be a loyal netgear customer but I think tp link is better now based on the reviews.

    Excellent Router With Great Features

I purchased this on the recommendation of a Best Buy employee that has always given me great advice in the past, and once again he was spot on! I absolutely love this router. I get great coverage all over my home and garden (my lot is around 0.5 acres), and I love the ability to connect my printer to the router to finally get a reliable wireless printing solution. I also love that I can directly connect a storage device to the router to store and back-up large files and all of the laptops in my house. The router was extremely simple to install and configure, and overall, I am 100% happy with this router.

I thought I was upgrading from an older Netgear router. I over bought because of the number of devices I have. My service is slower and I get disconnected on a regular basis from the device to the router. I have had the device for about 45 days and I am already looking to replace it or put the old one back into service.

    Does not Deliver Promised Speeds

I subscribe to gigabyte services from my ISP, and this router through the Ethernet ports can only deliver 450mbps. In wi-fi mode with 5G it could only deliver 400mbps. My settings were all correct and were verified by several IT people. I had problems years ago with Netgear and now this confirms that I should not buy Netgear.

Bought two of these the set up genie wouldn't pop up and the router thought there was something else in my network. Called Best Buy called geek squad and all refused to help me get this product working even with geek squad coverage on everything I own. Wanted to charge me more. Ridiculous, I retuned it and will not purchase items at Best Buy anymore

For an AC router, it didn't have that strong of a signal and barely lasted 2 years.

Not worth it for the price. Network strength is not good. Poor quality. I am experiencing much more in and out signal problem. When I call Netgear, they ask me to buy the customer support plan and then only they can support. Worst customer support

Worked fine until it didn't. Now it can't assign an IP address to a wired connection, connect to cable modem or anything wireless. Lights are on, it's been reset, but it's dead. I would expect a longer life than that. :(

I had a Netgear modem that was getting 500 mbps. The Ethernet cable ran from the modem to this router. The router got 200mbps. My ps4 was hooked up with an Ethernet cable to the router. 50mbps. The WiFi? 40 mbps. Good luck getting any tech support. I’m returning it tomorrow.

I would suggest that you do not buy this router. When I initially installed the router all seemed well. After some time, some of the ports dropped significantly in speed. I've read several forums stating that they have had the same problem. Even defaulting the router will not correct the issue. Stay away. I've read that the Asus router is a good one.

Please don’t buy this router or any from this brand. Each night, our internet would turn off without fail, and we had to unplug and plug router back in. I read reviews and community info afterward and they said it is very common with this router and any from this brand. Be warned, stay away.

The app required to set up this router is pure garbage. It won't even open without crashing instantly. No app, no router, so back to Best Buy with this garbage product. I cannot believe Best Buy would try and pass this product off on customers. Shame on you.

Bought this router as a upgrade and was very disappointed. Nothing but problems holding a strong wi-fi signal. Spent money to have my internet checked coming into my residence and through the router. Everything checked out perfectly, except this router. Maybe I got a dud. Not sure but thankfully Best Buy let me exchange it for a different brand.

Router works intermittently with new fiber internet, speed disparity. Direct connect to ISP 400+Mbs, through router 150. Very disappointed. First Netgear product and last. Do not buy this version as of 8/7/2020.
