Great router well worth the cost

Speed test- I did a speed test on my phone with my old comcast router I had 31 meg down 11 up & Ping 52. I added this router & a new inexpensive modem (Arris SB6141) Did another speed test at the same spot I had 84 up 12 down & 12 ms ping Signal strength is also much better. Comcast router- In my back yard I would be connected to the router, but it had no bandwidth so I would have to switch over to cellular. Netgear- I have full coverage in my back yard, I can even go to my neighbor's house and still have great signal. 11.5d 5up 12p There's a nice app for this router also, it will troubleshoot your router & keeps a convenient location for you to have your wifi info.

    Exceeds expectations

My old Belkin n600 recently died, so we were looking for a high-speed, high-range replacement. We have a 2000sf ranch home with a full poured concrete basement. We attempt two other routers first and had no connection in our basement office with either. Enter the Netgear 1750. The speed and range of this 3-antenna unit is outstanding. Every corner of our house, including basement, gets full speed WiFi on both 2.4 and 5ghz bands. This product met and exceeded our expectations. In a WiFi/connected world, router expectations are pretty high. With Bestbuy’s return policy, it’s worth giving this a shot if you are in the market.

NetGear AC1750, First Time Setup, Decent Value

Well, I purchased my first WiFi router. After upgrading my service with Comcast for a Cable TV/Broadband Internet (150mbps), and my family that streams videogames and plays them online, along with streaming TV shows and videogames, decided that since I'll be upgrading to unlimited data, that I needed a decent WiFi router. So, I purchased this one on the last day in August, the final day it was on sale for $114. Since this was my first time trying to figure out how to install it (the included instructions are a piece of crap and they don't explain how to set it up, Quick Setup my behind). I had to do a search for online instructions and found what I was looking for. After a few hours of trying to figure it out for myself, it took about an hour to go through the process of setting the router up. HINT: Toss the included instructions and search for your router brand online, there are more detailed and step by step instructions. I had to go through the account signup at Netgear and register the device before I could access other sites. The only site you can access while setting it up is the Netgear setup website. Useless paying someone else to setup your router when it's much easier doing it yourself, providing you have a guide to help you. Geek Squad overcharges for the setup and what they charge isn't worth it. It took a little while longer to figure out how to rename my network, change the password, etc. Keep in mind that this is the first time I have purchased a WiFi router and the first time setting one up. I went at this from scratch with no prior knowledge. I figured I saved myself about $100 (average for a professional tech to setup), Geek Squad charges $49 to $329. So, I figured I saved myself a lot of money, since I didn't have to pay for a professional tech install. Once it was setup and running, I have the strongest signal and was able to connect my smartphone, my Amazon Fire tablets and my nephew was able to connect his PS4 games to it. Cost me more than what I was intending to spend, double what I had planned to spend, but, it was a fair price for what I needed for our family home.

    Awesome Router

This is by far the best, fastest router I have ever purchased. The setup practically took care of itself and the router interface is simple & straightforward. The range is HUGE! I live in a 3 story townhouse and the router is set up in the front room on the 3rd floor. The speed is the fastest my cable modem provides. Even in the back room on the 1st floor the speed is the same super fast as if you were standing next to the router. Speed does not degrade with distance. Speed is also not affected by the # of computers, tablets, Roku players, etc... running. Best router I've ever owned!

Upgraded from a wireless G router that of course didn't support Cat6 speeds. Right off the bat there was improvement with the overall speed of internet and networking. We use the 5 Ghz band for our gaming consoles and it works great! Would definitely recommend.

Easy setup & great wifi range

Setup was easy; Provides necessary options that are perfect for college apartment (guest access) as well as dual band for iPhones & computers. Wifi range is really good as my daughter can not only get the wifi in all of her apartment, but also at the pool in her complex which is several floors down and on the other side of her building. Seemed a bit pricey when I first purchased it, but the performance it gives is worth it. I have a unit at my house that is about 2/3 the cost and its performance is subpar compared to this one.

Easy Setup, Improvement Over ISP Wifi

If you're looking to buy this, throw away the Quick Start Instructions! It's an awesome Router but the included instructions don't tell you to update the firmware which is mandatory before you start using any new hardware. That's just not as obvious to most people. FIRST, download the Netgear Nighthawk App! Plug your router into your modem, plug your power source into the router, and then open the Nighthawk App and it will prompt you through the super easy setup. You should be all set to change your wifi's name and password and use all the cool functions this router has through the app! Here's my review after owning this router for a week... On average, there are 3 of us here at home using 4-6 devices all at once over wifi. When we were using the combo Modem/Router from our Internet Service Provider, there were already some connectivity issues on the opposite end of our 1,500sqft home. We've recently added a Ring 2 Doorbell (also purchased through Best Buy) and that's when we REALLY started to notice a dip in performance for all of our devices over wifi. With 150/150mbps internet, the combo/modem router just seemed to fall flat on its face every time we had more than 4 or 5 devices connected to it at a time. I ran speed tests at various spots in the house with just one device and then those same tests while running multiple devices and it confirmed my suspicion that the wifi just wasn't sufficient for juggling all of our devices, especially after adding the Ring 2. While shopping for a solution, this Router seemed to be the highest reviewed for a decent price point just about anywhere I looked online. We've been using it for about a week now and I'm very, VERY happy with the improvement!

i have been using Netgear AC1750 dual band gigabit wifi router for the past one week and i'm totally pleased with the performance of the device. I'm enrolled into 100mbps plan from TWC. i have enabled both 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands on this router. with the 2.4, I'm getting ~20mbps speeds. with the 5ghz, i'm getting 100+mbps speeds. it provides signal range throughout the house and i can see good signal strength even in the corner of the house. go for this product!!

Setting up this router took a very long time, for some odd reason. It kept on looping me through the set-up process, but it was worth it. It's a great router with better range than most routers at Best Buy. We had connectivity and range issues, and this router fixed all those problems. Also, this router doesn't over-heat which was the case with our previous Linksys router. If you want a quality router and don't want to pay $150+, this is your router!

I absolutely love this router! I know Netgears are very popular routers to get, but I'm glad I get this router. The instructions are so easy on how to connect the WiFi. The connection was fast, don't really have any issues with it. Since I have lots of people coming over to my house and ask for WiFi, it's still good. I have been using for 2 months and I recommended it to anyone who wants a great WiFi and is fast!

Asked for advice replacing 10 year old router. Needed solid connectivity thru whole house for 2 wired devices and up to 6 wireless ones at the same time. Sales associate recommended this Netgear router and said it would be simple set up with great success. 100% correct!! Took less than 30 mins to disconnect old devices and add all new ones. Have stable connections without issues since. Very pleased!

This is by far the best router I've ever used! I had a Netgead N300 and it started dropping connection and started being bad. This is super fast and super easy to setup! I also love the customer service! I bought this at their store and it took about 6 minutes to buy this without having to wait in line!

I had to ask my husband for help a few times a week on my wifi connection at home in the past six months. He needs to reset the router every time. Thanks to Netgear Friends & Family program who sent me the router and I can replace the existing one. According to my husband, this is the best modem we ever had. Setup is easy, plug and play. Now I can connect to wifi anywhere around the house and the signal is much stronger than before. I love it, of course my husband loves it too, especially it is free from Netgear and no more reset. Sure I will recommend to my friends and families.

This was a little more than I was wanting to spend on a router, but decided it would be worth it in the future. It's fast, and has provided no issues for the most part. The only thing I've noticed is even with a full signal, it seems to slow down a little when in another room. It does this on standard, not 5G. Also, the white lights are kind of bright when the room lights go out. Other than that, it's great!

Purchased this router because we moved to a larger house (about 2500 sq. ft divided between two floors) and our old router just couldn't cover the entire space. So far this router has provided nothing but excellent speed and coverage. We have a 200Mbps cable internet service with about 12 Wi-Fi devices in the house.
