I have not lost connection in my bedroom since switching to this router! Really like the multiple antennas that can be positioned in different directions. Internet does seem a little slower but not sure if the router is the cause of that or not.

For the absolute longest i thought my internet provider was the issue for all the games that would crash, loss of wifi, and online classes freezing up because they would not load. Well what do you know it turned out to be the router. Please do not get anything “Netgear” their appliances are so outdated and useless. You’re better off buying an ASUS router.

This router blows my previous router (Belkin N600) out of the water Belkin went and took a nose dive and was only getting wifi speeds from 15-20 Mbps but now I get consistent 90+ Mbps on comcast 75mbps blast tier.

I had a fast modem already and realized the bottleneck in my network was my old router. After getting this set up I have had zero issues with buffering when streaming movies and the range of the WiFi is great.

Don"t waste your money on this garbage

Really want to throw this thing out the window. After having a trusty LinkSys for 10 years that worked brilliantly, I decided it might be time to upgrade 6 months ago and picked this router and basically wasted my money. Wifi was ok to start, but now as of a few days ago the signal is so weak that I can't even use it for work anymore because I can't stay connected, even if I'm sitting next to it. I thought maybe a needed firmware update would solve the problem, but nope. Restarting it doesn't help either. I'm sitting on the couch plugged in until i can get to the store tonight to buy a new LinkSys router.

When it works it is great. My problem is that at times it quits transmitting and I have to physically unplug and replug the power to start up and reconnect.

With the new AC technology and 1750 model from Netgear, which has been my choice of brand for my Wi-Fi for the pass 15 years, I don't have a Wi-Fi dead zone in my house any longer!

This router is a very good model for entry level dual band routers. It is less expensive than its big brother AC1900 but has almost all the features. I have not gotten any problems in 3 months of usage.

I added this to my set up for a guest network. This bypasses the domain and goes directly to the internet. This way guest have no direct access to my network.

Ehhhh This router works as intended. My first one turned into a doorstop within a year. The nighthawk app is almost useless.

    Not worth it!

I bought this router only 6 months ago when a best buy employee recommended it. I trusted what they said as my last router was a Linksys and I had it for 9 years with no issues until it was no longer compatible with our devices. During the first 6 months we had to reset this router at least once a week and had a lot of buffering with the top speed of internet from TWC. It would be working one minute and then the next our devices could not connect to it. Then one night after using the PS4 for games and switching to streaming Netflix it just stopped working. We tried everything netgear suggests to do for troubleshooting including a factory reset with no luck. We reached out to best buy only to find out they can not touch net gear products to fix this issue and we had to go through net gear. We tried to fix it with net gear and got on the phone with someone. She said she knew what the issue was and she could take care of it, then she said oh wait your 90 day free support is up so your going to have to pay me $50 to fix this. We asked "so you know the issue is internal and you can fix it but your going to make me pay to fix your faulty issue" She replied "do you understand the words I am saying to you?" We continued to argue that if it was an issue on the internal side of the router and not our issue we caused then why should we pay them each time it happens. She just kept repeating "do you understand the words I am saying to you" After deciding that net gear is unreliable and rude in their customer service we are switching brands. Not worth paying $50 every time it breaks when we could just buy a new router.

This is the worst piece of technology I have ever spent money on. I have had issues with it since I took it out of the box. I wish I would have just returned it, but I thought I would give it a chance. It constantly stops working and I am always trying to figure out what the problem is. I have the best wireless internet available in my area, and yet my internet is extremely slow because of this router. Do not waste your money!!
