I bought this range extender to extend the WiFi range in my parents house. Being that the main router was located downstairs of my parts split level home, they had several dead spots upstairs in the bedrooms. I placed this extender in the mid level and it worked like a charm. Set up was a little tedious but easy enough for me to get it going in less than 20 min.

I tried for several hours to install the device and finally contacted netgear. You have to be a computer programmer to get pass the password security on my verizon router. They finally created a new wireless network connection so I could use the device. Once I had the help of a programmer all went smoothly. If you are a novice don't waste time and just contact the Netgear help line and let them assist you.
