Super Weird Customer Support

Called Netgear Customer Support for help. Jeremy Ben wanted to remote into my PC to try to help. In the process, he tells me bad guys have been accessing my PC, and I needed to delete a number of executable files (and, of course, there would be expense). Seemed like a come on for gaining a broad customer support customer. Basically, I didn’t like the smell of this. Called AVG, my antivirus and general protection vendor; they remoted in, and advised that the problems Netgear identified were not problems (Netgear customer support never got to talking about installing its product). Sooooo, be careful. I returned the Netgear extender and bought a Linksys extender. Best Buy handled perfectly. Great work, Best Buy!!!
