Not so good

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was very frustrating and time consuming trying to get this thing to connect to my WiFi using manufacturer instructions. When it did finally connect, it was unsecured. Meaning someone could access my WiFi through it without a password. This is NOT what the instructions said should happen. I tried everything. Also, the signal was so weak that there was nowhere I could put it in my house that would make it useful. My regular router was far beyond it. That being said, hats off to Netgear for making a DURABLE product. I threw it against the wall in frustration and put a rectangular hole in my drywall but this thing was completely unfazed.

Easy to set up because of the sister App. Does not drop signal. I bought a previous wifi extender from linksys and it was not working, so I was expecting this device to be flawed. Turns out it is really really good! Definitely recommend.

Did not see any improvement

Isn't doing much of anything for my internet

Don’t trouble yourself

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t go through the hassle of trying this item thinking you are going to extend your WiFi and that it will work. It’s had so many, and the same, problems, connecting to different routers, networks in different states. I’m always like “ it’ll work this time” but the result is always the same. Money, time wasted. Premature aging. Frustration. Writing this review will hopefully be the last time I ever see this item in my life. At best it worked a day, with reduced speeds. Resetting, updating firmware, nothing helps. Just take the time you are going to waste with this item and run a big ugly cable around your house. At least it will work and you’ll be getting the full capacity of your internet.
