A bit disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I also expected improved performance and range with this unit compared to my 5 year old Linksys repeater. So far not the case. The LED stays amber all the time; I called tech support but they could not fix it.

4 months and 12 days old and it doesn't work.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased on June 2 and on Oct 14 it does not work. Called Netgear, tried to speak to the tech who did not speak English very well. Actually TERRIABLE! She would trouble shoot if I bought tech support extension. I said I wanted the one year hardware warranty. She said no, its a configuration problem, buy the tech support extension and she will reconfigure my Spectrum router. I said it was working one day and not the next. I always bought Netgear in the past. This was an extremely frustrating experience! Four month old extender that does not work!

Meh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extenders aren't great to begin with, but we needed a range solution sooner than later. This gets the signal to the back of our home, but not without the sacrifice of some quality.

Didn't work great.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up was a little complicated - after setting it up it really didn't do well, constantly dropped connection with my router - just ended up roughing it like the olden days.

Very slow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On one hop I was very disappointed in the slowdown from a very fast gateway. On two hops forget about any kind of band width. I would recommend a faster model if bandwidth is critical. Forget about HD video.

Did what they said
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product was very easy to attached to my network. Biggest issue I saw was the signal strength was not much improved over what I had directly from my router. Tried different locations and had the same results.

It didn't work very well in my house.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't work well in my house so I returned it. I may try a better router/modem than the one provided by my service provider. Then I may purchase a better Wi-Fi extender.

Didnt notice a difference
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Either I'm a moron or it didnt really do anything. Could be our circumstance. Not knocking the product but just maybe the type of product? Or maybe the difference was negligible?

very weak and inconsistent reception.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.set up unit just as instructed, but very hit and miss. Will probably try another more powerful extender. Thought this would have been more that enough!

Does Not Work!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not pleased with this at all. My husband and I have tried to set this up on numerous occasions. It does not work or do what it says it’s suppose to do. At one point we thought we had it figured out, only to have to remove it because it was causing errors with our WiFi. Had I known it was not going to work I would have returned it. We have followed all of the directions to a T time and time again, and nothing. Greatly disappointed in this product.

Setup and software difficult
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.setup was not simple or direct. Software you had to be right next to the product to work and not in a consistently way. Range was good but my products would not point it

Worked but barely
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Device did not set up properly, so I had to wire it and use the back up procedure. The main drawback is that each band has its own alias, and the user must continue to manually swap around when signals fade. I also didn't really notice any significant improvement in my network performance. the name assigned by the device was also not what was indicated in the setup procedure. Returned the item and got the ATT Uverse booster, that switches automatically, has the same name, and costs about the same.

Didn't work for me!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This extender did not do anything positive for me. It was learned through talking with real experts that in fact I had to acquire a whole new internet company with much larger upload speed. A download speed has nothing to do with what is required for security systems particularly cameras and this is what I needed. You may have better luck although an expert told me last week that these extenders are not in very helpful. Do your own research and see where it stands with you but for me it was worthless.

Works, Then Doesn’t
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product worked tremendously for about two weeks then just stopped working and had difficulty reconnecting. It can be tedious to set up, especially when troubleshooting.
