This didn't work for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There may have been a user error, but the network strength showed an improvement. I connected to the extended network, and I never saw any improvement in the parts of the house where I have a weak signal. I had to return it.

Doesn't seem to extend range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't work as well as I hoped even with all green on extender

very poor power
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was a waste of money but I had it to long to get my money back. It does not go through walls very well and putting the extender mid point between my router and the ring doorbell which was a total of 65 feet left the signal very poor.

Keeps dropping
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I set this up per instructions, it was pretty easy. I started noticing I could not connect to the web, at different times. I had to reboot the unit. It happens all the time. The wifi signal shows strong, but won't connect till after reboot. I wouldn't buy this again.

Simply Awesome!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this device. I originally purchased two extended antenna 9dbi, With the hope that going from a 5dbi to a 9dbi (much larger antenna) would greatly increase my Wi-Fi signal strength. Unfortunately it did not. I saw very little increase in signal strength and Verizon kept stating I had interference from other routers in my area. However once I purchased and installed the NetGear Range Extender, My wireless signal is now the same strength as my wired connection which is far more than I expected. Very easy setup also. Also, though it's not on the box, this one is good for about a 1200FT radius, so place it in the middle of your home if you have multiple floors. Thank you BestBuy!!!

Not for older setups.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We tried to use this for expanding our range. Didn't work for us. Called support and they tried to sell me a computer fix (not needed) at a large cost, but not helping me get connected. Ended up upgrading our modem/router instead.

waste
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Junk, it seemed to actually interrupt my router's signal. Maybe if you could hard wire it would work. Performance better w/out

Did not perform as advertised
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The speed using it as a wifi extender was worse than using the original wifi at its outer limits. It was easy to set up and configure but did not actually help with providing better wifi.

Excellent! Works perfectly!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this wireless extender to cover some weak spots on my home including no connection at all on my backyard. I recently bought an AC1600 Cisco router thinking that it would to do the trick to cover the whole house. I placed the router at the office, front of the house on the second floor, and I was getting weak signal in the living room, back of the house first floor. I debated going with a powerline extender same brand as the router but I'm glad I found this. This extender worked perfectly with my Cisco router. The setup took less than 5 min thru the WPS button (no need for going thru the manual setup). It extends simultaneously both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz frequencies. It automatically adds the *_EXT* suffix to your existing wireless network so you know what device your are connecting to. This comes pretty handy since I can choose where I want to be connected to (router or extender) depending on what area of the house I'm at. In terms of signal strength, I get full bars and a link speed of 150mbps on my tablet, iphone and smart tv which is the max network card speed. In terms of distance, it reaches until the end of my property (.25 acre lot) and almost to my neighbors. I have over 10 wireless devices connected on my network almost all the time and I have no internet or intranet (NAS) lagging issues. My next step is buying an AC network card for my laptop to test if it really can reach the maximum link speed advertised and connect my smart tv thru the ethernet port to this extender to increase the speed to my NAS. In summary, go for it or wait for the next model up, AC1200 extender, coming out at the end of February 2014. Enjoy!

Terrible extender with problematic range/detection
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The range was unacceptable and despite the close proximity of the device, this product would not be detected. Called tech support which was awful. Eventually returned the product.

Frustrating
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I followed all the steps and even watched a couple of videos off the website. I’m fairly tech savvy but I just couldn’t get it to work. I’ll be returning it tomorrow.

Was slower than my router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty underwhelming device if you ask me. I was getting a pitiable 4 MBps via this. My router was giving me 90 MBPS easily. I wanted something faster than that. This was way slower clearly.

Not good in old houses
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an older house with thick plaster walls, so this wasn’t able to strengthen my WiFi strength at all. Ended up returning it.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NETGEAR - AC750 worked great for about 2 weeks after that I had to keep turning it on and off and eventually it would not contact at all to the internet.
