This does a great job of extending the coverage of my new higher speed internet service that includes 5GHz WiFi. I'm consistently getting 95Mbps up/down in the areas I want to cover. This is about 4X better than my old extender. The initial setup with WPS is easy but it configures extender with basic capability under the Fast Lane option. When I used it this way the first time my speeds were much slower. However, once I configured Fast Lane as follows (Router-to-Extender in 5GHz only and Extender-to-Device in 2.4GHz only (Router must support 5GHz band)) I got the speeds I wanted - works great. Fast Lane is under the Do More link on the mywifi page. Go through all the options to configure the device the way you want it. One other note - when your device gets far way from the extender the speeds do fall off noticeably. Mostly in the upload direction. This is probably to be expected.

This is probably one of the easiest set ups ever and it works great! Also, love that it has an ethernet port.

This is an excellent extender. I am using this with an Apple Airport Extreme router in a condo complex that blocks wifi signals from one level to another. The setup was very easy ... set mine up with an iPad. The signal is strong now on the upper level of our shore condo. Highly recommend!

The option of using this as an wireless access point is perfect. I’m fortunate to have Ethernet plugs throughout my house to connect smart TV’s etc. The problem is the weak WiFi signal in rooms far from router that phones and tablets connect to. When switched to access mode with a direct Ethernet connection I have a very strong Wifi signal in the room I need it. A great feature is it mirrors the existing WiFi as a mesh device. Which means, as I move about my house, my device will automatically switch to the extender when the signal is strongest. I’m very pleased with this extender for my needs.

My router is set up in the middle of my house but I spend alot of time in the living room which is just slightly out of range. This thing was a cinch to set up and it is super fast. Now I'm not having to walk around the house to get a decent wifi signal.

I like using Netgear products, but this product just doesn't WOW me. I guess it is doing its job as being a Range Extender, but when I connect to it, my phone or laptop's network adapter says it does not have internet connection until I start to examine the network settings and then it connects to the internet. I'm not sure if this is the Extenders fault or not. But all works fine once internet connection is established.

Just purchased today. Setup worked the 1st time. Provides stronger wifi signal than Comcast-provided wireless modem/router on both 2.4 and 5 MHz bands! Hope it is as durable as it is effective and easy to install.

WiFi router is at far end of the house and one floor above where I use my Android tablet and Chromecast on TV. Normally get 1-2 Mbps. Now it's 54 Mbps. Fantastic improvement. NetGear's free Analytics app helped me pick a good spot for the extender. Set up problem required call to tech support. When it came time to connect a device to the new extended net it just hung, unable to get an IP address. Tech agent had me reset the device. The setup Genie had a field to enter the WEP password. The agent told me to leave that blank, and instead enter the password as a network key. It worked after that. Strange workaround, but who cares!

Moved my Panasonic smart TV from basement were the router is to my bedroom upstairs none of the apps would work bought this extender easy instructions installed in 5 minutes and it works great!!

Just purchased this based on the reviews. I have an Asus N/AC router and used the WPS buttons to set this up for 2.5ghz and 5ghz. Set up both in a matter of 10 minutes or so. Then moved it to the area of the hours where we have connection problems. All those rooms now have good wireless access. Happy with it so far.

I never thought that such a product existed until directed to it by an associate. It was just the product I needed for my three story townhouse.

step up was easy. It will find the strongest signal on its own. if that's the one you want in extend enter your password and your set. If not, then use the web address given, click sniff out other signals It will find other WiFi signals, select yours. It will add 2_EXT to the name enter your password and you set. Relocate the entender to a near "Dead Zone".

Got this because my Wifi was too low to operate my Smart TV. Added this and the system all works great. Truly enjoy this product

First installation of Netgear EX6100 was without problem. But Comcast upgraded my modem-router and I was unable to re-connect the EX6100 to the new modem. I tried the WPS method without success as well as resetting to factory default values and starting all over. Next I tried to follow the NetGear genie smart setup which did not work nor could I use either of my browsers to connect to the www.mywifiext.net address as recommended to log in to the extender to configure it. At this point I called Netgear support which informed me that although I was well within the first year since purchase, their free support was only for 90 days! So it was an easy decision to buy the highly rated TP-Link RE210 dual freq. extender for about the same cost as the Netgear support fee. Most importantly TP-LINK provides a 2 year warranty with free 24/7 tech support.

I have a 1 story house and my router is in my bed room. When i want to surfing the internet at my living room. The internet signal is super week. After i got this item now i can surfing as fast as when im in my room.

This extender helped extend my wifi in my 3 story house and now I no longer have any dead zones. Set up was a breeze

It was easy to plug in and set up. I was hoping to go from 2-3 bars to full 4 bars of signal strength on my wireless devices. It did that. The problem is, while the connection is strong, it cut my download and upload speeds almost in HALF! I did a side by side speed test; connecting to regular wifi with 2 bars of signal gave me 110mbps download and connected to the extender with full signal strength on my device showed 60mbps. Upload speeds went from 11 to 6mbps. We did multiple test, switching devices, using the 2 and 5ghz connections. The results were the same and produced a very noticeable decrease in speed when connecting through this extender. It's going back!
