Works Great!! Very Good Option
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I share internet with one of my neighbors at the same building. He lives on a first floor (the router is over there) and I live upstairs (about 500ft away from router). On first instance the internet at my place was awful. After installing the netgear extender the connection was huge better. Totally recommended.

Worked for a while
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this this past summer, worked fine until Verizon changed my router. Now no matter what I do to connect to to the new router, it won't work. Called Netgear and they won't talk to me as tech support is only 90 days. This will be my first and last Netgear product!

Eh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this today to test out. I've used several range extenders in the past. The one things for me that is a deal breaker is the Ext addition on each SSID. This eliminates the ability to seamlessly roam from the main router. Setup was easy and the led indicators are nice. As far as the range this unit extends, I was disappointed. I will be returning this unit because it seems to be lacking a bit.

Not bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was recommended to me by my att technician and it's mostly good just for wireless signals and not hard wired ones with an Ethernet cord

Didnt Work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this in hopes to extend my wifi signal. Router is on the 2nd floor and the trouble area is on the 1st. Not sure if I got a bad egg here but the product didn't work as claimed. I cant say if this would work as an access point as my setup does allow for this. Once setup as an extender, I ran a speed test simultaneously on my smart phone on the 1st floor connecting to the extended network and a tablet connecting to the router on the 2nd floor. The extender did not improve any speed on the network. In fact, it was 4 times slower, same as not having the extender setup. The only thing I like about this is the ease of setup and having WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] or WPA2-PSK [AES] security. This is going back and looking at possibly another extender or Ethernet over Power option.

DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this in the hopes of extending my internet connection to my living room because my router was not strong enough to reach. This is awful product it is constantly buffering and loading even though I am running 100 Mbps down and 25 Mbps up. RIDICULOUS and a WASTE OF MONEY

Taking it back
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a 45 minute online chat and 2 hour phone call with customer support I was told that the unit must be defective and I should return it to the store. The rep gets credit for trying but I'm not sure I will exchange it for the same item. Not feeling real confident about it at the moment.

Worked Until it Didn't...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the EX6100v2 -- lasted about 4 months and then the power light went to solid orange and it quit working. Customer support indicated that my 90 day phone support was past, and that if I paid an additional $49 they would re-flash the firmware for me (or more likely walk me through it -- it's a fairly convoluted process as seen online). I declined. If I can't reflash the firmware myself (although it will likely take me awhile), then my replacement product will definitely not be a Netgear. Very disappointed that they don't stand behind their products.

It was working at first, but....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I originally bought this a week ago, and it was working really well. However, after a week, it started effecting my router, which was also effecting the modem some how, AND we just got a new modem not too long ago. It's easy to setup using either WPS Push-n-connect or using Netgear SmartGenie. But after a week of having it, it was just causing a mess of problems. It does what it says it does, and it improved my range tremendously. But the problems it was causing wasn't worth it.

Doesn't work no matter what we do
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup was super easy and it connected to my existing netgear router. We moved the extender to different locations in the house and the results from speedtest.net were horrible. Without the extender we usually get 40-50 mbps in the upstairs rooms and were hoping it would bump those numbers closer to 100, which is what we get downstairs. The extender showed 15 to 20 mpbs. The extender was even set to a direct line of site of the router(in our hallway) and still bad connection speeds. Going back to the store tomorrow.

Compatability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The range extender does extend the range but seems to fight with my AT&T modem a lot and causes many interrupts while streaming my different shows on our new sony tv. The range is good but the interruptions in streaming gets annoying.
