Just purchased this last week and I had to return this as the signal didn't work in my home... Signal was unstable and would drop for a stronger network signal repeatedly. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Looked like a good item to boost our RV Park WIFI inside the motorhome. Wrong. Never was able to get it to permanently recognize the WIFI Hotspot we were trying to boost. I spent 4 hours reading, researching and trying everything. Then I called tech support. Worst experience ever. I have had decent support before from Indian support centers but this was not one of them. The so-called expert could not understand what I was saying. Had me repeat the process I had already done 3 additional times even though I told him that had already been tried many times before. Product not working was to be expected. But, useless, non-expert support was not acceptable. Buyer beware is what I say. Do not purchase unless you know for sure it will work. If not, the support you receive is likely to be subpar.

Moved into a bigger house and got this extender to improve wifi coverage in the downstairs. Sometimes it doesn't seem to really help the wifi signal become any stronger.

It boosts my signal I have more range than I did before I bought this

Bought this and it extended my network all the way to my basement.

I bought this to boost my WiFi and it worked great.

The extender is ok for normal use. But if you are looking to game or upload videos, look for something more powerful.

Does what is promised. Auto wifi finder easily transitions between this and standard wifi

Even with the customer support I was not able to make it work. Five different passwords. 2 for 2.5 and 5. One for the modem. One for Apple and for the i phone...... We could not make it work. I was happy to return it after all the damage it made to my current WiFi.

I spent two and a half hours trying to install this product without success. The "Quick Start" brochure contains the most confusing so-called "instructions" I have ever seen for any purchase. They were extremely confusing and written as if you were trying to use the product for multiple reasons. Even the ethernet/wired option didn't work. You Tube videos didn't help either. They're five years old! Even online help was unavailable because the product registration site kept rejecting the information I had just submitted! Using a product like this shouldn't be this difficult after you've spent over $70. It's going back to Best Buy tomorrow morning.

This product is complete trash. I was in a Best Buy store looking to get assistance on a wifi extender as I do not receive very good wifi signal in the back bedroom of my house. I was assured by a team member that this would solve all of my problems. It doesn't. Not even close. The repeater is located 25 feet from the router and the devices using the repeater's signal are 25 feet away from the repeater. So not a terribly great distance by any standards. The wifi speed I have coming out of the router is consistently 30 - 40 mbps down speed. But the signal coming from the repeater constantly lags out and devices consistently lose connection to the signal being output from the repeater. I would not recommend this product to anyone that does not enjoy randomly losing signal. Especially for 80 dollars...

I do not recommend this device for PS4, Very slow ~!

We had purchased this extender about a year ago. Than the lights on it started acting up than it just died. So at that price, I would have hoped it would have lasted longer than a year. In the beginning, it was nice than sometimes it would act up where the light would go yellow meaning I had to move it. The nice thing about this extender was it was so compact and a Netgear product which typically has served us well. Our house isn't large 1900 sq ft but its construction and location needs extenders like I even have to use a micro cell for our cell phones. We use AT&T Uverse right now, but I'm considering moving to Comcast.

Most difficult setup ever, had to return it because it never got through the setup. It required you to download the Nighthawk app onto your phone to set up the extender. After downloading the Nighthawk app, neither my or my wife's new phone was able to find the extender despite following all the steps and trying over 10 times to do it.

Could not get this to work. Tried WPS setup and thought I was getting somewhere but then could not login to extender using existing wifi password. Their help and registration website www.mywifiext.net and "Netgear Genie" can not be accessed at all. Stuck with this useless thing because I bought as a gift and it's been more than 15 days. After hours spent on this, not in the mood to talk to someone in India for tech help.

This is real disappointment it really does not work is supposed to act like a bridge I understand it’s not gonna make my signal stronger just expanded but it doesn’t work like that I’ve try using it on my ps4 and no is actually worse I will be returning it tomorrow

Extender did not work as advertised. IP address conflict with router. Netgear offered to charge additional fee to resolve the issue. Bait and switch - avoid and don't waste your time! Mesh router system like Orbi better solution.

It is not giving proper signal strength. It is working very poor

Instructions provided in box were not the correct ones for the model i bought--had to go online to get installation instructions I have had to remove the product as it is bringing down my internet connection. Cannot return it as it has been too long of a time since purchase.

It CONSTANTLY switches between networks!! It will log on normally then a video won't load, if I manually switch to the original network it loads perfectly!! I bought this for a bad area in my house. But it slows down every device connected to it!!!
