The arlo is the only camera I consider worth the money at the entry level. It’s lack of AC power requirements allow me to place it anywhere inside or out, and the free basic cloud video storage of 1 week is more than enough for a security camera. The batteries last quite a while, though I have had a number of false motion detection events when the camera is outside and a sunbeam crosses its lens. Not a problem if you don’t have notifications turned on, since you don’t pay for storage.

I love this product easy set up no drilling it's wireless so you can put it anywhere you like.

This system surprised me at first, It was easy to setup and took me about 30min to install all cameras in my house. I has one Ceiling or wall mount and also two ball mounts per camera which use a powerful magnet to hold the camera. They are water proof and work really well out side and are pretty far from the hub and still no issues. All in all great product.

I have 2 senior chihuahuas that have to stay at home during the day while I'm at work. The oldest one has seizures sometimes, and it pains me that I can't be there to keep an eye on her all day. But, gotta work to pay the bills, right? So, I thought, "why not invest in a security camera system so I can keep an eye(s) on her remotely!?" After reviewing several different brands and models, I decided to go with Arlo. I'm glad that I did - Arlo has proven to be a great investment. I purchased the 4pk with Netgear base that uses 4 batteries per camera. The image capture is great. The video capture is great. They are on as soon as I set the app to "ARMED" and start recording as soon as motion is detected. Notifications are sent to my phone. Then I can open the app, or log into my account online, and see what those rascally old pups are up to. The only thing that I would rate less than excellent would be the length of battery life. But, that can be remedied by investing in a rechargeable battery pack and batteries pretty cheaply off Amazon.

I haven't gotten to dive too deeply into the full functionality yet, but so far I am impressed with the video quality and ease of use.

There are many types of security systems and many variations. We chose the Arlo 1) due to the wireless operation (co-op building, direct wiring not feasible); 2) Free online saving of Arlo clips for up to 7 days; 3) ease of installation. Now that it has been operating for two months, we found the daytime picture to be excellent; the nighttime (IR) to be quite good; the ease of reviewing the camera notices on the website from anywhere by iPhone is perfect!. We read that battery life was not good. Initially the batteries seemed to drain seemingly fast, thus we purchased a dozen new ones. However, much to our surprise, the batteries are very slow to lose power (using night mode 9pm to 7am only). We think the original batteries were not actually 100%, but 80%. After nearly two months, the level is 65%. Plans are to add more cameras and perhaps for the whole 12 unit association if the members agree. Side note: after learning how to set the camera schedule, getting email or phone notifications while on during day (with family in/out frequently) can be excessive unless you want/need such notices. Just check the app "Library" on occasion for captures.

Just beware of the lapse in time to start recording when motion is detected and be careful of camera placement because the motion sensors aren't very good but besides that they are great for checking in when far away

this item is a true wireless camera system but when installed they have a delay when the motion detection is triggered n whatever the object that activated the camera has already left the viewing of the camera n it's recording nothing... I'll be purchasing a wired system soon

The cameras are very easy to set up and use. The only thing I recommend is investing on some rechargeable batteries.

I love these cameras. They are very clear and easy to use. Much better now that they were upgraded. Best wireless cameras available.

The system does record video well. The issues are the delay in starting video and at night there seems to be a weakness of missing the movement at times. The more light in the area the better. The batteries are expensive and if you set it for maximum video or quality they may not last long. The downloads need to be on an android system or else they will not have a date/time stamp as you would expect.

Set up was easy they worked good for a few days . Then it crashed . Now they will not detect motion Cannot get them working Would return them but my 16 days are up.

Great picture quality. Easy setup. Be sure to buy batteries online in 12 packs. Wish they lasted longer. I'm getting maybe 3 moms. But still a very nice item.

The camera outside is great. It still has the same batteries in it that it came with. However, the inside cameras are eating batteries. I am going through 4 batteries per camera a month. The software for the cameras is not extremely user friendly. I wish there was a way to shut off one camera or all cameras at the same time, rather than having to go play with the modes and the scheduling. The clarity of the video is really great. If Netgear updates the software where there are more user controls for each camera, it would be great except for the batteries. We are going with a wired in system for the inside and using these for the outside.

The camera system delivers first-rate video. Installation was very easy. Like that cameras can be moved easily to get the best views.
